Thank you, checking in for this moment in history .

QuestionableMouse · 08/09/2022 16:30

I'm watching the coverage in dribs and drabs. I'm weirdly sad over the whole thing.

Lonelycrab · 08/09/2022 16:30

Thanks for the thread @Festoonlights

Surely she can't be that close to the end or already gone if bringing the ponies in has any connection?

Yes I thought this. Feel like it's confirmation she is still with us.

I wonder if it's partly a respect thing, ie closing everything down

Same! I'm no royalist etc but actually feel rather close to tears!

I like to think they’ve opened a window so she can see them. I can’t imagine they wouldn’t be there, she adores those ponies and is passionate about native breeds.

OldTinHat · 08/09/2022 16:31

Also checking in. So very emotional.

LadyCampanulaTottington · 08/09/2022 16:31

Maybe the ponies have nothing to do with what’s happening?

nachoavocado · 08/09/2022 16:32

The poor grandkids too.

Thank you, checking in for this moment in history .

Ditto. It is most definitely a moment in history and it's poignant even if like me you are not a royalist.

sunglassesonthetable · 08/09/2022 16:32

I think they just 'brought the ponies in '.
It's a massive Estate. With coming and going.

Oysterbabe · 08/09/2022 16:32

The blanket coverage and scrambling the whole Royal family is dramatic if she isn't very close to, or past, the end.

YesitsBess · 08/09/2022 16:32

Yes the ponies could mean absolutely nothing also!

I think it's so odd to have constant coverage. Yes, she's ill and may die soon, but are they going to have cameras in Balmoral's gates for days? I find it quite disrespectful to be honest and think they should let this play out in private.
Plus, they have nothing new to add and are repeating themselves every time I put it on.

torthecatlady · 08/09/2022 16:32

Extremely emotional here Sad
