To pull my cleaner up on this?

Like instagram TikTok pushes accounts linked to phone contacts to your home page.

Scrolling yesterday, I’ve been astounded to find multiple videos posted by my cleaner dancing, singing and wearing accessories (hat and sunglasses) in my bedroom on her account. She’s done this many times as she has different outfits on in each. She’s sat on my bed, dancing in my mirror and posing with my hat (left out on a hanger) and sunglasses taken from my bedside table.

She cleans once every two weeks for 2 hours and I leave her alone for one hour so she can get my office done as I WFH. I have found her so far trustworthy although she’s damaged a few things I’ve mentioned to her.

Her cleaning is good but I find her a bit strange and blunt but thought that’s a language barrier thing (she’s asked a few times how I can afford to live alone in my flat)

I want to raise it with her- but am I overreacting?

Thirty eight years of cleaning help I could write a book on the stuff that has happened to us.

I saw one of my cleaners in town wearing one of my tops.I immediately asked her about it, and she said it was in one of the charity bags by the front door and she was desperate and thought I wouldn’t mind!
it was NOT in the charity bag. It was a sky blue cashmere sweater. The worst thing is it did actually look better on her 😂

@TheLassWiADelicateAir Yes @KyaClark and I had a laugh about how ridiculous the trolls were on here suggesting I was making it up. I genuinely have better things to do! I PM’d Kya a recreation of one of the famous vids 😂

@Festoonlights awful! The thing I think is mad is she comes for 2 hours. For the first hour I’m always out- means she can do my office properly without me there. Then I come back and she’s at other end of flat and so it works. But it’s not always an hour I’m gone- it’s that give or take. So I could walk in at any time to her twatting about in my bedroom. So weird.

Did you check her references?

@Celticstranger she came recommended by the flat block. I didn’t check her references or ask for any, but a neighbour did use her before me, before moving out.

I'd confront her with the videos and then inform her that you're going to speak to your solicitor.
Then sack her, immediately.

That is seriously messed up. It's a breach of privacy and trust... Ugh I'd feel all icky knowing she had my things on.
Definitely let her go... You'd always be wondering what item of your property she's going to dig out today

I didn't expect the OP to do anything of the kind, as sending footage of her house to complete strangers would indeed be ridiculous.

Has your neighbour said any of the videos are from her house yet?

So far from what she can see, no videos of her place. But definitely of others but we just don’t know who’s!

I’d sack her, no qualms at all, and I’d let her know why. Then I’d tell her not to ask for a reference.

These type of jobs are all about trust. The trust is completely gone. Get rid.

Am I the only one that does not see it as a massive deal. Its only hat and glasses. She does a bit of tiktok using them. And puts them back. And does her job the place is tidy ? Maybe it's a little escape for her for 5 mins. It would not bother me. I can understand it might others though. But I would not say it was a sacking offence. That would be so unfair.

Firstly, I'll happily say I've reported several posters who seem to think that they're the thread police.

If I were you I'd archive or save the videos for evidence in case she deletes them and then denies all knowledge.

How you manage to afford your flat is no buisness of the cleaners.

She has no right to know because its your finances and thats confidential.
