I really fucking hate Bluey

It's dreadful. Like a poor-man's Peppa Pig. The dad is a grumpy bastard. It's like he has a hangover or something. It is incredibly boring. Am very disappointed as I liked the idea of a female protaganist. I like that Bluey doesn't have eyelashes to show the audience she is female. But ugh. So dull. AIBU to ban it forever?

YABU

Peppa pig is an awful little snot- I much prefer Bluey.

Crikeycroc · 08/09/2021 07:08

I love Bluey. But I do love in the same city it is set in Grin

PluggingAway · 08/09/2021 07:09

This is the fastest I've ever voted that someone was BU. I think I need to get out more.

AragornsGirl · 08/09/2021 07:38

We love Bluey so much in this house my daughter requested a Bluey cake for her birthday this week!

I really fucking hate Bluey
boymum88 · 08/09/2021 07:49

We love bluey, prob as much as our 3yr old. We watched a few of the new episodes without him 🤦‍♀️ Early baby gets me and Dh in the feels after ds was born at 28 weeks. The music is brill and it's so well written

Nope, you are correct.
superhappymagicforest · 08/09/2021 19:35

Have you actually seen it?!

golddustwomen · 08/09/2021 19:42

I love bluey more than my kids do!! The dad is hilarious!!

RGinaPhalange · 08/09/2021 21:08

Think I’d rather watch Bluey than most adult TV tbh.😂😂😂

blubberball · 08/09/2021 21:39

I can think of a few male cartoon characters with eyelashes, but I think that they might all be in Bambi 🤔

CreamFirstThenJamOnTop · 08/09/2021 21:42

Oh no, we all love Bluey!
The dad is really funny 😆

Janaih · 08/09/2021 21:45

I think the fact that so many posters disagree proves my point that the objective of Bluey was to appeal to adults so they would post how great it is about it on the Internet.

icebearforpresident · 08/09/2021 21:55

I’ve been know to keep watching Bluey after the kids have gone to bed. In fact I was just wondering what to watch after Grand Designs… For those of you that have never seen it, or are fed up with the episodes on iplayer, the whole series is on Disney+

The best episode is Backpackers, makes me cry with laughter every time (‘I need a room where the toilet is in that room’ & ‘I KNOW HOW THIS ENDS’

I’ve forgotten who you are but thank you to the poster who pointed out that there’s a Bluey podcast. I have a day off tomorrow and suddenly something to do with it.

It doesn't really prove that it doesn't appeal to both, though, which is no bad thing. My DD loves it!

YABU

Bluey is the best children's TV show EVER!!!

This

YABU!

MummBraTheEverLeaking · 08/09/2021 22:19

I'd rather watch Bing than that blasted pig and that's saying something!

Anyway more Bluey love here, love Sleepytime, Baby Race made me well up and I always laugh when Bandit reads out the letter from the Easter Bunny "I won't go into it" Grin

The kids have to like it though. My two have watched every episode a million times and it's the only one they've proper laughed out loud to so much.
Janaih · 09/09/2021 07:45

Yes I concede the kids like it. I might have been a couple of wines in when I wrote that Grin

NewPapaGuinea · 09/09/2021 08:02

Bluey is god tier. I cannot fathom how you think Bluey’s dad is grumpy!

PileOfBooks · 09/09/2021 08:07

The other aussie tv we have really loved is "little lunch" and "imbestigators." Whole family have watched 😁. Gentle humour and great characters.

Oh yes, little lunch is also awesome!
Idroppedthescrewinthetuna · 11/09/2021 18:35

It also is educational in a way!
We were just watching 'keepy uppy' and the mum says don't let the balloon go on the grass, it will pop!

Well I questioned if Australia has some sort of spiky grass! I have just learned and taught my children that in Australia, or parts of, they use buffalo grass which is drought resistant. This tends to be a little spikier and will pop balloons!

All I ever learned from Peppa was how to let my children get what they want by tantrumming!

sofad · 27/12/2022 21:02

right, bluey is fine but I hate the fucking bluey adults, its a show for children!! not for some 45 year old, drinking her 4th bottle of wine on a work night. I respect all the hardworking mums that need a glass, or even bottles but come on lass you are better than watching bluey.

foodtoorder · 27/12/2022 21:09

YABVU Bluey rules in our house, it's for preschool kids but my older 2 girls love it. Maybe cos they're sisters? But it is fab in general.

I can't remember what the Eli's called but the one where they have the family meeting like they're in a court room cos dad "fluffied " in blueys face is hilarious!
