I really fucking hate Bluey

It's dreadful. Like a poor-man's Peppa Pig. The dad is a grumpy bastard. It's like he has a hangover or something. It is incredibly boring. Am very disappointed as I liked the idea of a female protaganist. I like that Bluey doesn't have eyelashes to show the audience she is female. But ugh. So dull. AIBU to ban it forever?

I don’t get the enthusiasm for Bluey either, its quite tedious. However even I feel bad for Bluey if someone likens it to P*a fucking Pig.

Bluey’s mum has wasted her life being with Bluey’s dad. I just hope she realises before her best years are behind her.

It's fantastic. I always want to dance to the theme tune but DS doesn't like me dancing and tells me to stop. Makes me feel inadequate in my parenting when we see how much time and imagination the parents put into games and it's pretty much the only CBeebies programme I can watch without zoning out. I like the episode following the nursery/school teacher and the one where Bluey and Bingo pretend to be old grannies.

I'll allow you the magic roundabout but that innuendo laden Rainbow episode with the twanging episode was a joke that they filmed for one of the production team's birthdays or something. It was never intended for public viewing.

(very biased because it's made and based where I grew up and one of the kids dog friends is named after my friend's real-life dog - I therefore find the cartoon architecture of their house very familiar and the accents totally comforting)

Even the chinese takeaway restaurant in one episode that they go to actually exists in real life.

Oh I like Bluey. It’s nowhere near as obnoxious as half the shit on TV like Peppa or Bing. It’s nice to see parent characters who are well-rounded and have lives outside the kids. I like how they play imaginatively and have a silly sense of humour. My DS who has autism really loves the show and is always bringing up random quotes from it.

I’d love an example of where blueys dad is miserable and hungover. Like… ever. This is the dad who shames us into being better parents with his otherworldly levels of role playing games. I know this is probably lighthearted (is it?!) but are you ok OP? 🤣

Bluey and Duggee save my sanity from the whiny dross that is Peppa and Bing.

I’ve banned Bing actually. The intentional mispronunciation was the final straw.

My daughter adores peppa pig, it's her favourite ever and that's probably why I don't mind it, just because she loves it so much bless her! She doesn't mind Bluey but nothing beats Peppa in her little mind lol

Bluey is fantastic - daddy bluey deserves an award.

Peppa Pig is absolute shite (I type this as DD2 is glued to an episode). It's sexist and Daddy Pig is useless, at least in Bluey the dad is really involved even when he doesn't feel like it. Maybe he is grumpy and tired......but he still plays with his children. I actually think Bluey is a masterclass in healthy family dynamics....love it.

I agree about Octonauts.....DDs just don't seem to like it which is very upsetting (for me )
