AIBU to think that Prince Harry is coming across as the most tone deaf and hypocritical member of the RF right now?

Yes the guy lost his mother in a tragic way at a young age. (So have many) Yes he was forced out into the public eye in the middle of grief (which was horrific at the time and worse on reflection) BUT he is now an adult man with a family and access to life of extreme privilege yet he cannot seem to realise that him publically complaining about his lot in life and telling the rest of us how to behave is distasteful. Also, the petulant way he seems to communicate with the media is just undelining his immaturity and lack of awareness. By which I mean, the potshots in statements and rapping with James Corden and his pathetic man of the people schtick. If you want to be Hazzer give up your title and STFU!

I thought the James Corden thing was brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed it and Harry came across really well.

I am sick of all the whining TBH.

Titsinknicks · 26/02/2021 09:56

Is he moaning about his life or just explaining his actions? Give us a link to the video.

Being privileged and wealthy don't protect you against mental health issues. I won't list the huge number of rich successful people who have killed themselves because they felt so depressed.

Radio4Rocks · 26/02/2021 09:56

He's all me, me, me. Just like his mother.

Have no time for him and his whining. Just piss off and live quietly and stop courting the press you supposedly hate.

WinnieTheW0rm · 26/02/2021 09:57

I'm trying to to watch stuff about him (not least because of his stated aim of reducing publicity) but it was a bit unavoidable thus morning.

I really don't see the difference between stepping down and stepping back, and I think he is putting far too much weight on a slight semantic difference. Especially as it's blazingly obvious he walked away, first to Canada and then to US

ChocolateSantaisthebestkind · 26/02/2021 09:57

Who's whining? His or the public Wink

It's on YouTube titled An Afternoon with Prince Harry & James Corden

This.

If he annoys you so much just don't watch/read anything about him, I personally wish him and his family well

Titsinknicks · 26/02/2021 09:59

It's unrealistic to think he can just walk away. The media will be in his life forever. So why not use it for what he believes to be good and worthy (ok well paid too) work? I don't see TOWIE stars getting this kind of hate for using fame to flog diet pills and arse inflation

OldRailer · 26/02/2021 10:00

Just don't watch the wally.

Like a pp I am giving him the privacy he seeks.Grin

CallforHecate · 26/02/2021 10:00

I’m not a fan of the Royal family in general and it must be shit being chased around by the press all the time without having chosen to put yourself in the limelight, so I can have a lot of sympathy for someone who reaches adulthood and decides they want to live their own life and not be a part of it. What I struggle to understand is why you would then continue to put yourself out there and seek public attention. I’ve been really disappointed by what he’s done in the past year. It doesn’t seem like stepping back to me.

ChocolateSantaisthebestkind · 26/02/2021 10:00

If only we could@FuckyouCovid21, even traditionally sensible media outlets like radio 4 are covering this drivel!

Prince Harry married a Black woman.

People racists who like to think they're not got angry.

The end.

Exactly. Thread after thread. there's a long running one still going at the moment, not sure why we needed another...
OldRailer · 26/02/2021 10:03

I'm not a J Corden fan either so unless he's recreating a musical with someone I'm a fan of , no thanks!

MuddleMoo · 26/02/2021 10:04

Just change the channel or station if you don't want to hear from him. It's what I do with Nick Knowles.

PrelovedWithValue · 26/02/2021 10:05

What I don't understand is why someone that clearly has little time for him, is actively watching things about him

If you want him to STFU, the easiest way is to not give him an audience. It's very easy to do. I hadn't heard of the James Corden thing until I read this thread - and even now I know about it, I have no plan to search it out let alone watch it.

It's almost like some people are looking for things to get annoyed about. And I don't really understand why.

TakeTheCuntOutOfScunthorpe · 26/02/2021 10:06

It's difficult when he's all over the news all the time. You can't avoid him. You have to read a headline or see a picture to know what the subject is about. A Nathan Barley style "there will be two columns, one better than the other, and you only read the good one" system doesn't work in real life.

I personally wish him and his family no specific harm.

UsedUpUsername · 26/02/2021 10:06

Honestly just don’t watch anything with PH, he’s such an attention seeker as is his wife. Best to ignore

NK is doing an advert for something now! Is it breakfast cereal or something? Cringe!

I do the same with Gordon Ramsey. He has a primetime quiz show at the moment. Confused

Yeah so you see the picture of Prince Harry. Why does that annoy people so much? Just don't read the article. I just go oh there's Nick Knowles again, not my cup of tea, and change the channel. I don't stew on it and get all annoyed that he is on the TV again. Some people like to see him.
