AKissAndASmile · 01/01/2021 00:11

Where are you watching?

MissMarpletheMurderer · 01/01/2021 00:12

What the pseudo fireworks?

Icequeen01 · 01/01/2021 00:12

I just watched it too. Didn't realise they were doing anything. Was it kept secret? I enjoyed it, sorry.

Icequeen01 · 01/01/2021 00:13

I think some of it was done using drones?

CrochetOrBust · 01/01/2021 00:13

Is that the one on the BBC? That was awful - I turned it off when they got to about the second line of the poem / speech.

QueenOfTheDoubleWide · 01/01/2021 00:13

What? Have I missed something?

Iwonder777 · 01/01/2021 00:13

We're they not real fireworks, some of them?!

Mreggsworth · 01/01/2021 00:13

I enjoyed it

ThatIsNotMyUsername · 01/01/2021 00:13

www.edinburghshogmanay.com/ - try this instead (pretty impressive)

burnoutbabe · 01/01/2021 00:13

I loved it too! Was very excited when I saw it and those drones were amazing!

Icequeen01 · 01/01/2021 00:14

I loved the bird!

ThatIsNotMyUsername · 01/01/2021 00:15

It’s up over my sister - I thought they were just drones taking photos (d’oh) but it’s so creative. I love the stag running across the sky.

user1471530109 · 01/01/2021 00:16

I thought they were fab, much much better than the usual. Plus I found it quite emotional Blush

worldgonemad2020 · 01/01/2021 00:17

Was that kept secret? Wasn’t expecting I liked it a lot. Actually preferred it to other years.

abitofpeace · 01/01/2021 00:18

I’d have found it moving if the government actually showed some respect for the NHS. I switched off after the first few minutes ou5 of anger, I’m sure the overwhelmed doctors and nurses this evening would prefer more than this.

AKissAndASmile · 01/01/2021 00:19

Anyone got a link?

mynameiscalypso · 01/01/2021 00:19

It's nothing to do with the government is it? Presuming you're talking about the London drones which were on the BBC. I thought it was organised by the Mayor of London. It's been quite anti-government in the past!

Bizawit · 01/01/2021 00:20

Agree OP. I only saw bits of it, but after the year we’ve had!! Bunch of fascist crap.

Thedogscollar · 01/01/2021 00:21

NHS worker here and I would have expected no less from this shower of dickheads.

TheClitterati · 01/01/2021 00:21

No civilised society should ever rely on the government for parties.

Having said that I did attend a wonderful party at the bar in the houses of Parliament a few years ago.

bubblicious3 · 01/01/2021 00:22

How was it fascist?!!

PimlicoJo · 01/01/2021 00:22

Oh fgs. Happy new year everyone.

80sMum · 01/01/2021 00:23

I actually thought it was better than usual. The drones especially were spectacular. I liked that it wasn't all on the London Eye, for a change.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 01/01/2021 00:23

NY fireworks are organised by the local government.

Godimabitch · 01/01/2021 00:23

We really enjoyed it. And I'm not a fan of the government.
