There's always someone offended.

And wilfully ignoring that the same 'inspiration' fucked off to Barbados on holiday over Christmas whilst that same NHS was on its knees

Sounds like she wanted him to roll his sleeves up and help out, maybe volunteer on a ward
Ffs.

How anyone can begrudge Captain Tom his bucket list holiday is beyond me.

@MamaTookMyEyebrows

I don’t understand. On what basis would you moan about that? Confused
Quite! I’ve tried to dig deep for a reason, but it’s left me with only one which I think I’ll keep to myself!

@Elephant4

Oh - I thought it was ... haven't watched the whole thing properly.

But what I did hear was very cliched and cheesy. Embarrassing actually.

I thought it was shit.

"Cheesy" and "shit", or just a reflection of the year we've had and a reflection and focus on how it's people that have got us through it?

Or where you not impressed by the technical side of it?

@chomalungma

Just saw it. Wow. Didn't see the EU flag. The NHS bit was excellent. The BLM was simply a statement saying Black Lives Matter. Climate change wasn't mentioned - just Attenborough saying we should look after our planet.

It really put the UK on the map for what we are as a country.

The drones were amazing!

The EU colours then turned into red white and blue. So symbolically showing exactly what happened at midnight that night. Not sure where people are seeing "propaganda"?!
