AIBU to say that the majority of women do not wear matching underwear daily?

I rarely wear matching sets of knickers and bras. A couple of reasons:

1. I don't usually like the knickers that match the bras I like (I'm a 32G so it's already hard to find suitable bras that I like)

1. I like my knickers to be comfortable and invisible under clothes (no VPL thank you very much) and those that come with my bras usually aren't.

However as most of my bras are black I usually just pair them with plain black knickers, which did not come as a set with the bra.

I don't think I'm unusual to not wear matching bra & knickers sets every day. So AIBU to think the majority of women do not wear matching bra & knickers sets on a daily basis?

If I get ran over I don't want the embarrassment of the paramedic cutting through my clothes and seeing me in a mismatched set 🙀 the fear instilled in me by my nan that even though I know it makes no sense for one asif they'd go "State of her the meff lets just roll her to the kerb she will have NO treatment from us" I still do it. More so out of habit then impending humiliation

Match them to the clothes I wear.
Dark skirt, dark knickers
Light top, white /cream bra
Not matching 😂
Only for very special occasions 😉

I only match by colour which is quite easy as I only buy black, white or nude
I buy most of my bras from bravissimo and prefer sloggi type big pants
I am a comfort over looks person

This is mental why would it be embarrassing not to match? As longas they are clean and not falling apart!

I always, always match my underwear. I almost never wear plain white, black or nude underwear. It's always patterned in some way. Less so if being worn under white tops etc but always a bit & I wear a camisole or vest if I need to.

However, while I do wear matching sets, as in the original set, I also buy extra matching pants & I buy pants that aren't part of the set & complement the bra eg pick up on a detail or colour in the bra. When buying I think very carefully about this!

I realise this sounds like I give a lot of thought to my underwear! I guess I do compared to others. I couldn't wear non-matching / complementary underwear.

I also think ahead to what I'll be wearing & match my underwear choice to that too; that's a whole other algorithm 😀

Mine aren't specially expensive, usually M&S, mid price

But I love my underwear & the colours & details I have. Like another poster, it makes me happy!

I don't judge but can't get all the posters wearing just plain cotton undies. Couldn't do it.

Mine rarely match. Never really given it much thought tbh.

I wear matching sets, usually Fantasie, as they seem to fit me best.

No idea it's just what she told all of us granddaughters, match so the paramedics wouldnt see a mismatched set 😂 regardless of the fact we could have just broken our arm or got a concussion so no need to cut open your clothes in front of Mrs Jones three doors up. Managed to get to my thirties without showing everyone my underwear ..... the one day I dont match I'll have jinxed myself.

I do not. It doesn't interest me, if I had a nicer stomach area, I might care more but I don't. That's not to say I don't wear nice underwear because I do, just not matching.

Rarely. I am a D cup and size 18-20 bottom - the lovely bras mainly have teeny tiny little pants which wouldn't cover enough to be comfy!

I don't own any matching underwear! My bras are black, knickers are all colours and patterns. I just grab whatever is on top of the pile. Couldn't be faffed to match tbh.

I do buy expensive bras though - it's important to have good scaffolding! I have several lovely Rigby and Peller bras but my pants are good old M&S cotton full briefs! I couldn't give two shits. I like to be comfy above all else - DH since fancies me in my granny pants and if I happen to be in such a bad accident that the paramedics have to cut off my clothes I think the last thing I'll be worrying about is a strangers opinion of my undies!

I would usually wear black & black/ white & white

I wear whatever is clean from my drawer. I don't match... I'll wear black pants with black trousers and a pale crop top with a pale top.
I only ever wear black pants. My bottoms or dresses warrant them.
I couldn't care less that my underwear doesn't match.
I don't care what people think if I got run over ( such outdated thinking( and when I get home , the crop top comes off . I don't wear one at the weekend either.

Large chest, decidedly average but adequately wobbly butt here.

I've never been able to find a matching set that was both comfortable and practical which looked nice.

I just wear whatever is comfortable.. though I do make an extra effort to not have VPL or have my bra show throw my tops.

I’ll pull the matching stuff out for sex. Otherwise I can rarely be arsed to wear a bra let alone matching underwear.

PS - I mean special occasion sex when I’m trying to be a seductress not just spontaneous shagging. So that’s about once a year perhaps.

A friend of mine once said that she thought most women had shaved fannies. My GP friend assured her this wasn’t the case!

I haven't worn matching sets for years, i never seemed to like the pants in the sets and they are pricey! I usually wear a black bra with a bit of lace and similar pants for no other reason than that i like them. Yanbu

I don't even own matching sets. But I do feel chuffed if by chance I have a black bra and pants on!

Another non matcher here as the pants are also inadequate. Isn’t it funny so many of us say the same! You’d think they’d do some research and realise we want a comfy bra/pant combo. How hard can it be?!

I don't own any matching sets as I take ages ot find and choose bras and then rarely like the matching knickers.

But I prefer white, beige or black and so I buy white beige and black knickers.

For me, white bra plus white cotton knickers = matching

The only time my bra and pants match is when I don't wear either.
