AIBU to say that the majority of women do not wear matching underwear daily?

I rarely wear matching sets of knickers and bras. A couple of reasons:

1. I don't usually like the knickers that match the bras I like (I'm a 32G so it's already hard to find suitable bras that I like)

1. I like my knickers to be comfortable and invisible under clothes (no VPL thank you very much) and those that come with my bras usually aren't.

However as most of my bras are black I usually just pair them with plain black knickers, which did not come as a set with the bra.

I don't think I'm unusual to not wear matching bra & knickers sets every day. So AIBU to think the majority of women do not wear matching bra & knickers sets on a daily basis?

Everything of mine is a matchy set apart from if I'm doing sports. I have 2 pairs of knickers per bra so will wear a bra for 2 days running unless its very hot

I just colour match. I usually buy a couple of pairs of knickers to match a bra but I get more than 2 days wear out of a bra before washing so don't match on those days. Sometimes I can't even find the matching ones anyway, some of the plain ones look a bit samey and I can't be bothered raking through every pair of knickers in the drawer.

I deliberately mismatch my bra and knickers these days, as I spent years trying to do matchy but failing as invariably the knickers were still in the wash of something. So now I choose deliberately clashing colours, eg coral bra with magenta knickers, purple knickers, pink bra etc. My DH always requests I wear matching on special occasions lol, but it makes me smile and it's easy to grab things quickly in the morning!

I haven't found any matching sets in the past 10 years since I had a CS and needed to tuck the overhang in my pants. Apparently women with small breasts (32B-30D ish) don't want big comfy matching pants that keep their bums and tums accounted for.

I'm pretty sure that a market is being missed out on somewhere.

And what is the point in wearing small dainty (itchy) pants that can't be found under a flap of spare, saggy skin?

YANBU. My bras are from the Peacocks DD+ range, my knickers are generally M&S multipacks or from Tesco. Even if I wear a black bra and black knickers, they're rarely the same shade of black given that some of them are very old and faded!

My underwear always matches.

Not at all. If I'm wearing light trousers/skirts I will choose light (flesh/pale pink NOT white) underwear. I wouldn't then wear a see-through top that necessitated a different coloured bra on top.

I haven't worn underwear that doesn't match since I was 21 years old. Even when I was post-partum, I was wearing (matching) black cotton underwear. It's my luxury item - but having said that, I rarely if ever buy full price. I'll hunt down matching sets from places like Bra stop and ebay. My biggest luxury is the stupidly expensive french lace underwear, which I'll buy at 60-70% discount.

My underwear choices are not for my DH, but entirely for me. I can look a right scruff on the outside, but be wearing skimpy pink lace french knickers and matching bra, and it's my little "fuck you" to the world.

Confession: I judge you women wearing greying non-matching sets when I see you in the changing rooms.

But normally no. The pants which are part of matching pairs always look really itchy and uncomfortable

Asda George do big cartoon knickers with superman or Harry Potter on etc. I buy those and wear a black bra. Ive never been girly and give no shits really even when I know I'm going to be showing them to a man. Il be like "do you like my Harry Potter pants ? Look at the back it says expelliarmus!

I never wear matching underwear.

It is as much as I can do to match a pair of socks, let alone faff about with that sort of nonsense on a daily basis.

If they can't accept me for who I am then its just their loss and they won't ever get to see me on my batman pants days 😎

I wear matching SOMETIMES. But due to my size my bras are expensive enough, by the time I’ve added matching knickers I’m spending a very large chunk of cash! The knickers to match the bra I’m wearing today are £38 for a thing or £41 for the “shorty” style I prefer.

Also if I’m wearing a dark top and lighter trousers/skirt then I’d wear a dark bra and lighter knickers and vice versa.

I don’t think I’ve ever worn matching underwear in my life? It’s something that doesn’t interest me, same as ‘fashion’ in general. I actually feel a bit sorry for women who have been suckered into thinking any of it actually matters, unless you want it mentioning on your gravestone?

I’ve always only ever worn clothes that I feel comfortable in since I was a teenager. I love big knickers too.

Never. The knickers would give me thrush, so I just have plain cotton granny knickers.

I buy Prima Donna bras. I like the Deauville. They are the most comfortable bras ever, in terms of underwired ones. I get mine from Plums Lingerie; Rigby and Peller sell them too.

I haven't worn a bra since I was 18. Vests all the way! Not even for running. It's great having small boobs.

I don't go around asking all my acquaintances what underwear they wear; but I would be VERY surprised if most people bothered to wear matching underwear every day! I certainly don't.

I always do, because it makes me smile when I’m getting dressed or undressed.

In my early 30s when regularly dating - underwear always matched. Now with 2 small children - hello extra large, plain black, short style knickers and whatever bra I can find.

I've never even bought a matching set.
