AIBU to say that the majority of women do not wear matching underwear daily?

I rarely wear matching sets of knickers and bras. A couple of reasons:

1. I don't usually like the knickers that match the bras I like (I'm a 32G so it's already hard to find suitable bras that I like)

1. I like my knickers to be comfortable and invisible under clothes (no VPL thank you very much) and those that come with my bras usually aren't.

However as most of my bras are black I usually just pair them with plain black knickers, which did not come as a set with the bra.

I don't think I'm unusual to not wear matching bra & knickers sets every day. So AIBU to think the majority of women do not wear matching bra & knickers sets on a daily basis?

I only wear matching sets if I know I'm going to be showing them to someone.

YANBU. I have been working from home since March. I rarely wear a bra at all at the moment, let alone matching knickers!

I'm the same. Black knickers, black bra. No matching sets.

I have white knickers and a white bra for occasions that require it too .

I always do, because it makes me smile when I’m getting dressed or undressed.

I’ve also found a range a Debenhams called B by Ted Baker which has bras that fit me really well, along with matching underwear.

But, I realise I’m a bit of an outlier, so I voted YANBU.

Like you I try to match colour (black pants with black bra etc) but I don’t think I even own any proper matching sets any more! For comfort I like the primark crop top style bras (I’m quite small of bust and these have padding without underwires 😂) and M&S knickers (slightly granny-ish, but I ordered a pack to get over the minimum for free delivery, and oh my gosh! They are the most comfortable pants ever).

I locate bras, and find knickers with similar pattern and colour. To me they are matching, if the person looking doesn't like it, he can fund my proper matching expensive preferences

It’s bad enough trying to find a well fitting bra let alone comfortable knickers that match.

I don't think I've ever owned let alone worn a matching set, not even my wedding day!

God no, I get bras at bravissimo and the matching pants are like £15 a pair and often have a see through arse.
I like plain cotton briefs and I don't care if that makes me a granny

I don't wear matching sets. I like quite fitted clothes so I only wear t shirt style seamless bras (also quite small of chest so I love the gel ones). I also don't wash bras very often as it ruins them. Obviously pants are washed after every wear so I get through 10 x pants per wash in contrast to bras.

Like PPs most of my bras and pants are black so not too different.

I think there are quite a few women who wear matching sets though. Apparently my husband's first wife always did. Why he told me that I've no idea.

Sometimes my socks are black as well.

If a coloured bra, I try to make sure it doesn't clash with my top.

I'm weird, I only wear matching sets and I wash my bra after a single use, I always believe it's the same as every other piece of clothing. The only item I don't wash after every use is jeans. I love matching sets, they make me happy and "put together"

My pants match themselves. They are black all over.

So I think that counts as yes my underwear is matching even though I'm not going out

I remember reading loads of articles in women’s magazines telling me that I’d feel so much better dressed and more confident if I knew my underwear matched. What a load of shit.

I couldn't give a flying flip if they're even the same colour, tbh. Mine never match. Seriously, who cares?

If your bra is black and so are your pants then they do match don't they?

My bras are all whatever plainish and comfortable version was recommended to me by Bravissimo.

My pants are plain black anti VPL low rise shorts sold in packs of 5 in M&S.

As far as I'm concerned, they match.

The knickers in matching sets are never comfy & too much polyester. I like cotton knickers unless it's date night with a longtime partner or back in the day, dating someone new.

I always have matching bra and pants. Some of these are quite a lot more youthful than I am. It is something I do for me. I want to be nicely dressed under my clothes. I have all the attributes of a woman who has had children and now showing a bit of age as well.

I remember mothers in my youth who would say always have clean underwear in case you are in an accident. Now I wonder what nurses would think of an older looking woman with young woman underwear if I was in an accident now!

I don't own any sets.

DH bought me a sexy lacy stripperesque set once, and I told him to fuck right off.

I own matching knickers to most of my bras, but they are tucked at the back of my drawer for "special occasions" (these never happen). They just aren't as comfy as my day-to-day pairs, and they sometimes give VPL or make me fidget.
OP I think if you are even matching the colour black with black then you are a lot more matchy than most!

I only wear matching sets, again with bra washed after every wear. I have 40 + matching sets and they are my happy thing. For some people it's shoes or dresses, I just like to have lovely matching underwear.

Asda George do big cartoon knickers with superman or Harry Potter on etc. I buy those and wear a black bra. Ive never been girly and give no shits really even when I know I'm going to be showing them to a man. Il be like "do you like my Harry Potter pants ? Look at the back it says expelliarmus!" 😁😁
