To think this isn't stingy?

Dp has just got home from work and complained at the "stingy" portions left for him. This consists of 5 (good quality) sausages, carrots, peas, broccoli and a large bowl of mash (3 generous portions). Aibu to think this is not stingy at all?

Fwiw he has already eaten breakfast, a pack up and a bacon and egg sandwich from a food van ( I only know this as h3 messaged me). And I know someone is going to ask if I underfeed him (it isn't my job to feed him) but he is 5ft 9 and at least 20 stone.

Sounds good to me but maybe Cos he's bigger he needs to eat more? He shouldn't complain at u tho

SchrodingersImmigrant · 03/11/2020 21:19

Anything over 5 peas is plain greedy. This would feed me for 3 weeks. Pfff

ReneeRol · 03/11/2020 21:21

That's a huge amount. 20 stone at 5"9, he's very greedy.

Passthecake30 · 03/11/2020 21:21

Sounds like enough for 2 people tbh.

WaterOffADucksCrack · 03/11/2020 21:27

but maybe Cos he's bigger he needs to eat more? He complains about his weight. Surely at 20st he needs to eat less?

SchrodingersImmigrant 🙄🙄🙄

ReneeRol He is tbh. He was obese as a child as we're his brothers. But now as an adult for example I have coeliac disease and he will eat all my gluten free snacks then eat his so I have nothing. If I receive chocolates and don't eat them that day he'll assume I don't want them and eat them all.

Passthecake30 I thought that but I didn't want to be accused of eating like a bird 😂

He sounds overweight and greedy!

WhereverIGoddamnLike · 03/11/2020 21:29

20 stone? Seriously?
Is this a fat bashing thread?

You already know you've left him more than a normal sized meal, so you're not unreasonable. The problem is him and his overeating. That's all very obvious and you really didnt need to ask if it was unreasonable. You also didnt need to include his weight, unless you're looking for a bun fight over that.

20 stone? Seriously? Yes seriously

Is this a fat bashing thread? No as I've been overweight plus I've been underweight with an eating disorder so I don't really know what "normal" is. Thanks for making me feel like a freak though.

My messages aren't posting or are posting much later for some reason.

Have you posted about him before? Rings a bell.

It sounds like you dont like him very much I have to say. Or have much respect for him.

It sounds like he has an eating disorder. Food addiction is as real as nicotine etc.

WaterOffADucksCrack · 03/11/2020 21:35

It sounds like you dont like him very much I have to say. Or have much respect for him. Because I don't want to be shouted at for not providing enough food when I have 3 under 5 and work full time?

Kind of glad to hear it's not just me having posting issues!

I tried 3x to post here a proper reply after the joke!
Try 4.

On a serious note, this is why he is 20 stone. He needs to have a look at the portions, unless he is doing extremely physical job (which based on his weight I doubt) it's simply too big. I think it's really the time to have a talk with him before he gets to weight which will cause real health issues.

Copying this again in case it doesn't post😂

billy1966 · 03/11/2020 21:40

He sounds like a greedy pig.

I can't stand people who eat other's snacks or anything that is lying around.

Not everyone eats everything immediately.

Yes he is overweight, likely obese.

DH is 6'3" and was obese at 19 stone.

That is a huge meal no way could DH even attempt that in one meal.

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 03/11/2020 21:56

He is obese and it's no wonder eating so much! Greed is so unattractive.

WaterOffADucksCrack · 03/11/2020 21:58

Sorry everyone it either doesn't post or posts 50 times!

SchrodingersImmigrant 😂
When I've raised it it's always "I'll start next week". I'm 90% sure he has sleep apnea but he won't see a dr as he says "they'll just tell me to lose weight".
