Suck it up. You voted for them. No one made you.

Everyone is entitled to have a moan, but seriously, WHY WHY WHY did you ever vote tory thinking they'd got your back?!?!

OP posts:
R1R2 · 27/10/2020 22:56

Because labour had done so fucking much for them the past 20-30+ years they had held those seats

ssd · 27/10/2020 22:56

And to make it clearer, I don't mean loyal tory voters, you are beyond help, I mean traditional Labour voters who thought Boris was their man.

@PinkiOcelot

Northern England?
The North of England then

Picking holes makes fuck all difference

I agree with you OP, I don’t understand why working class people though this government would ever look out for them.

ssd · 27/10/2020 23:01

Ive never been on twitter claire

Are they wearing an “I voted Tory badge”? Do they now have a blue aura? How do you know who voted for them?

Alexandernevermind · 27/10/2020 23:01

It's called a democracy. We as the people voted for them so they are accountable to us. By causing a fuss we can change policy. I hate the "you voted so you don't get to complain" attitude.

1Morewineplease · 27/10/2020 23:02

Blimey, no wonder there's a North /South divide.

shellshock77 · 27/10/2020 23:02

We all know why they voted.

Various news reports, threatening tories that they'll loose the red vote they won this time round, like they give a toss
OP posts:
shellshock77 · 27/10/2020 23:03

It's a total shit show.

Livelovebehappy · 27/10/2020 23:03

Which news program was this? Northerners don’t moan - we make decisions and stick by them. Now southerners on the other hand.......

Alexandernevermind · 27/10/2020 23:03

Also, are Tory voters from the south allowed to moan?

DrDavidBanner · 27/10/2020 23:06

I think its time to move on Jeremy.

Tillygetsit · 27/10/2020 23:06

What about us Midlanders? You know, the ones you think are Northern and the North think are Southerners?

Miljea · 27/10/2020 23:08

I read the OP and, like many, thought 'this won't go well' 😂-

But, I understand the sentiment.

I cannot fathom why any traditional Labour voter in a Thatcher decimated, chronically under-invested, poorly educated, austerity riven north of England town would imagine in their wildest dreams that any Tory would have their interests at heart.

How much history do you need?

Miljea · 27/10/2020 23:10

@Alexandernevermind

Also, are Tory voters from the south allowed to moan?

But they have far less to moan about!

I live in softy-southern Hampshire. I haven't voted Tory for 40 years. Because I take one look at them, their policies, their track-record and go 'Nah'. And live among the privilege 'being Tory' brings.

Didn't realise everyone up North was working class. Hmm

This. It’s like poor Americans voting for trump. I saw one family being interviewed - lived in a shack, no medical care or dentist, one of their children with a serious health condition and they could not pay for decent care or medications she needed. Their closet neighbour was about 5km away but the dad voted trump because he “didn’t want no terrorists moving in next door”. It’s staggering and like turkeys voting for Xmas.
Gancanny · 27/10/2020 23:17

"The North of England" - which constituency is that? The North Riding Valley Borough of Homogeneity?
