To call my partner Cuntface

60sbird · 30/09/2020 19:56

My partner and I have a great relationship, we are both quite childish and tend to call each other cunt chops or cunt face, never in anger always in fun, I’ve found my one to stay childish with rather than grow old with

OP posts:
Nandakanda · 01/10/2020 07:40

I think it's a nice name...

BlackberrySky · 01/10/2020 07:48

You both sound vulgar and uncouth but it's up to the two of you what you call each other in private. If you're both equally coarse then I guess that works.

Skyliner001 · 01/10/2020 07:52

Cool story 🙄

longwayoff · 01/10/2020 07:56

You both sound absolutely delightful. Please keep the rest of your conversations between yourselves though, yes, really, no need to share, thanks all the same.

Purplecatshopaholic · 01/10/2020 08:04

Thank you @60sbird for this thread - my oh and I have had a great time coming up with even more awful names for each other (and we had some pretty terrible ones already). Even the pets are not exempt! Childish but fun times and we don’t care. Come round for a naice dinner party any time op, you sound like a right laugh!

BlackberrySky · 01/10/2020 08:07

@ExhaustedGrinch

Mumsnet never ceases to amaze me.

A flock of so-called grown women sneering and judging OP for a light-hearted post and yet the other day there was a huge thread where everyone was talking about wanting to take class A drugs again to relive their youth and no one bats an eyelid. Bonkers.

Almost as if Mumsnet is an enormous online forum with a diverse range of people with differing views, eh? Did you check if the same people extolling the virtues of drugs are the same people responding to this thread? Or could it perhaps be an entirely different set of people motivated to respond to each thread?
miraloma · 01/10/2020 08:08

I absolutely hate upper middle class Mumsnet made up swear words.

Cockwomble and thundering pissflap cunt and so on. It's just too try hard and makes me cringe myself inside out.

OrangeFluff · 01/10/2020 08:16

It’s not for me, but if it makes you happy then great.

I’m playful, fun and happy in my relationship. We have pet names. Not insulting each other doesn’t mean there’s no humour.

Name calling and swearing is a deal breaker for me after being in a previous abusive marriage. I wonder how many couples who do this sort of thing in jest, also do it during arguments?

Nicolastuffedone · 01/10/2020 08:19

Do what you like.....

TweetUsOnFacebook · 01/10/2020 08:27

I'm not a fan of the C word but there was a TV series with Bob Mortimer and Vic Reeves a few years ago I which one of the characters would shout 'You twat! a lot.
We adopted this for a while, if one of us did something stupid the other would shout 'You twat! It was hilarious (you had to be there I guess). It's died a death now. I might resurrect it next time dh can't find the glasses that are on the top of his head.

Marmitecrackers · 01/10/2020 08:51

I'm guessing you are immature be and not well educated? If casual swearing at each other works for you then knock yourself out.

I personally find the word abhorrent but whatever you do if your own home and all that.... Just don't do it in front of the children

dottiedodah · 01/10/2020 09:32

I think if it amuses you then whats the harm? I personally would hate it even though Im in my 50s too! The worry is of course if it slips out when at Great Aunt Berthas or something!

Namechangearoo · 01/10/2020 09:34

Oh, you’re totally one of those people who describe themselves as “absolutely crazy hah hah hah” or shares memes like “every friendship group has one weirdo and if you don’t think you do, then it’s you” (spoiler - it is you, but not in a fun way) aren’t you?

What a bizarre post Confused

@Anordinarymum

What horrible people you all are picking on one woman. Disgusting
One woman posted a pointless thread about what she and her husband call each other, asking for comments.

Some people commented. Not everybody liked it.

How is that "picking on" someone?

workhomesleeprepeat · 01/10/2020 10:33

Do what makes you happy OP! Not sure why you think we’d mind what you and your partner call each other though Smile

Itsabeautifuldayheyhey · 01/10/2020 10:40

OP you can behave as scummy funny as you like in private. So you have a great relationship and are childish, so what? I don't suppose anyone is really interested.

Cheeseandwin5 · 01/10/2020 10:42

@RunningFromInsanity

A beautiful story to tell your grandkids...

haha Brilliant

KarmaStar · 01/10/2020 17:41

Why post about it?why aibu?awful word to use though you sound very proud of yourselves.so well done.anyone else going to post about the swear words they use on their partners?.grim.
This can't be real.

Oh the irony. You're not coming across very well educated yourself.
GraduationDilemma · 01/10/2020 20:14

No one has ever flippantly or seriously called me owt like that and it's not starting now. And that's with a divorce where home truths were comprehensively aired. I'm a similar age.

MarylurvesDick · 01/10/2020 20:58

OP, I don't think you are BU for calling each other that, call each other what you like, I do think you are BU for thinking it was worthy of an AIBU thread 🤔🥴🤦🏼‍♀️

I agree with this. Keep it simple.

“Shut it cunt”
“Oi, fucker”
“Shit head get over here”

All perfectly acceptable greetings where I grew up. We did all sound like Danny Dyer though.

Wakemeupwhenthisisover · 02/10/2020 17:32

What’s the point of this thread? To show off how zainy and cool you are?

Righto
