For the first time in a while, DH and I decided to have a movie night. We saw Hereditary pop up in a few "worth watching" lists.

possible spoilers

Wow is that over 2 hours we will never get back! I was so excited at the start, ticked all the right boxes. It honestly had so much potential, but as time went on the movie still wasn't picking up the pace and I was wondering how they would wrap it up with not much time spare. The ending felt quite rushed, and left me feeling disappointed. I wasn't quite sure why the people had to naked towards the end aswell?!

Please share the worst movie you have endured, so I can double check when I next recommend a movie Grin

Watched into the woods on Disney + last night, it was awful

NewYearmorestress · 03/04/2020 15:52

There is a sequel to Cube, - Hypercube.... even worse. But both Cube and Hypercube are available on Amazon Prime at the moment.

Areyoufree · 03/04/2020 15:54

Van Helsing. I have seen it three times now, mainly because each time I re-watched it thinking "Surely it can't be as bad as I remember...".

FooFighter99 · 03/04/2020 15:58

Oh and Cats (2020)

What the actual fuck is the point of that film/musical???

Livpool · 03/04/2020 16:00

@jennystailor Devil?

TheSandman · 03/04/2020 16:12

Invisible Man. Shite and it cost £15.99

For that kind budget you're surprised? Even really low budget movies cost a couple of million.

iklboo · 03/04/2020 16:13

@TheSandman - Grin

milkjetmum · 03/04/2020 16:20

Alien covenant is truly terrible. I love the alien films, and while Prometheus was pretty weak, covenant just takes all the alien film conventions eg pods, face huggers etc and wrecks them.

Wonderfully naff and great fun to watch and talk over with other alien fans about how bad it is. Such a shame! And so full of stereotypical horror tropes (eg couple getting a bit fruity = death approaching) that it is almost farcical!

TheSandman · 03/04/2020 16:31

@milkjetmum where do you stand on the Alen vs Preditor films? (Apart from in the middle in heavy boots)

Taddda · 03/04/2020 16:33

@JennysTailor the one where their stuck in the lift, Devil?
(You've got me hunting Netflix for the other...Grin)

Taddda · 03/04/2020 16:34

@Livpool Just saw you said 'Devil' too...Smile

VeganVeal · 03/04/2020 16:45

George and Mildred, the movie

Lippy1234 · 03/04/2020 16:46

It 2 should have been called Shit 2.

MrsDesireeCarthorse · 03/04/2020 16:46

The perfect storm
Vertical limit
Honest with All Saints

All laughably shite

boringrobot · 03/04/2020 16:47

The Room Grin.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 03/04/2020 16:52

Sharknado..but the first one as it seemed it tried to be serious. The ones after I think they realised how bad it was a concept and just made them more mad. Still amazing however. The last one..time travel..says it all lol

In the woods..my friend got up half way as thought it was finishing. Then it went on for another hour!

Mama Mia 2..not that the first was that great but not as cringe.

LuckyBitches · 03/04/2020 16:53

The Box with Cameron Diaz. Interesting premise, totally squandered.

YouTheCat · 03/04/2020 16:59

I am Legend - bilge.

Russell Crowe's version of Robin Hood - bought it as it is usually my sort of film. Tried three times to watch it but fell asleep every single time.

VeganVeal · 03/04/2020 16:59

Its a wonderful life, awful

KonTikki · 03/04/2020 17:05

Anything with Adam Sandler in it.

I believe Its a Wonderful Life topped a poll as the best film ever.
Can't see it myself !

Willow2017 · 03/04/2020 17:16

Cloverfield I was still waiting for something to happen when it just stopped! What a steaming heap!
10 Cloverfield Lane was so much better.

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 03/04/2020 17:21

Please don't watch Midnight Meat Train. Granted the ending is so ridiculous it makes you feel slightly better but the rest is so horrible and grim, just for shock factor. I nearly cried Sad

TheStarryNight · 03/04/2020 17:29

The Lobster- women kicks her lover’s pet dog also the re-incarnation of just late brother- to death. Yay!

Wolf Creek- do not watch this, as I did, late at night on Halloween in a remote country cottage with creepy noises outside.

MintChocAddict · 03/04/2020 17:30

Never let me go with Kiera Knightley. I wanted to go and lie down for a week after seeing it. Grim!

KonTikki · 03/04/2020 17:51

Oh and the film AI
Walked out before the end , most Spielbergh films don't know when to stop, but that one took it to extreme lengths
