Apologies for the link to the Sun but AIBU that this is just ridiculous? That poor child will probably statistically never know his dad.

I doubt she'd even look at him twice if he wasn't filthy rich.

GirlYouHaveNoFaithInMedicine · 03/04/2020 15:01

This is really selfish.

I dunno. I suspect Bernie Ecclestone has never done any parenting, even when he was younger, tbh.

LuluJakey1 · 03/04/2020 15:06

I have reported the whole thread. MNet have allowed a whole series of extremely offensive, personally insulting remarks to be made about this couple on the basis of appearance, wealth, the fact that they are married and having a child and the man's age.

The thread is disgusting and shows how utterly ignorant and horrible some posters actually are.

MNet have got this one wrong!

GirlYouHaveNoFaithInMedicine · 03/04/2020 15:09

Not necessarily. I follow F1 and have always found Bernie to be a repulsive character, based on his behaviour.

Millicent10 · 03/04/2020 15:10

Disgusting news but I am surprised that a 89 year old is still at it.

An 80 year old man was having his annual checkup, and the doctor asked him how he was feeling. "I've never been better!" he boasted. “My 25 year old wife is pregnant, and having my child! What do you think about that?"

The doctor considered this for a moment, then said, "Let me tell you a story. I knew a guy who was an avid hunter. He never missed a season. But one day went out in a bit of a hurry, and he accidentally grabbed his umbrella instead of his gun."

The doctor continued, "So he was in the woods, and suddenly a grizzly bear appeared in front of him! He raised up his umbrella, pointed it at the bear, and squeezed the handle."

"And do you know what happened?" the doctor queried. Dumbfounded, the old man replied "No."

The doctor continued, "The bear dropped dead in front of him!"

"That's impossible!" exclaimed the old man. "Someone else must have shot that bear."

"That's kind of what I'm getting at..." replied the doctor.

I wonder if the mother was single and had got pregnant via sperm donor, would she be called selfish?
Yes, I think that's selfish. And it's even worse when the mother is older than 45ish.

Nature already places an end to human reproduction, its called menopause. I think anyone who uses fertility treatments to conceive once it's no longer possible due to the woman's age is selfish. I judge men too, seeing as I think it's weird when men choose a partner from a different generation.

Ginger1982 · 03/04/2020 15:14

Christ. My point was only ever that I thought it was selfish to have a child knowing that child would suffer premature loss of a parent.

Only suprised to see the number of handmaidens clamouring to defend billionaire Bernie's right to fuck someone who was an embryo when he was middle aged, because there is no way their love is anything but pure and profound.

No doubt there is affection between them, but, well come on..

drudgewithagrudge · 03/04/2020 16:21

Suppose the baby is the result of donated sperm would that make any difference when it comes to inheritance ? Could his biological children contest the will ?

MugsOfTea · 03/04/2020 16:22

No doubt there is affection between them

I doubt even that bit Grin

"You know I've got one of those wonderful ideas, women should be dressed in white like all the other domestic appliances.” - Bernie E

MugsOfTea · 03/04/2020 16:23

Could his biological children contest the will?

Bernie E doesn't own most of his own fortune due to his extremely complicated, maybe illegal, amost certainly immoral 'tax arrnangements'.

His ex wife does Shock

Ick, I think we would be too old at late 40's /early 50's despite being in a good financial situation. Kind of a shame but I'm being responsible

I don’t think they could

I would imagine he's thrilled to be having a Son. His first boy.
Hopefully he lives to 112 like the man last weekend then at least he will see his Son grow up to be a man
