Apologies for the link to the Sun but AIBU that this is just ridiculous? That poor child will probably statistically never know his dad.

Having your looks mocked is having something you have no control over being made fun of. Its no reflection on a persons personality. And as BE has a gorgeous wife who evidently wants to sleep with him, then surely only her opinion matters.

Branding someone a gold digger is commenting on their character. Which tends to be more hurtful.

And the way you have just described him is absolutely sickening. Each to their own, but I find the viciousness of some of the posters on this thread to be far more revolting than an adult, married couple having a baby.

CHIRIBAYA · 03/04/2020 11:05

Dear God the thought of screwing an 89 year old yeeeeeuuch!!!!!

littlemeitslyn · 03/04/2020 11:05

So it's yucky to have sex when you're old ?

CheriLittlebottom · 03/04/2020 11:09

It's yucky for an 89 year old to have sex with a 44 year old, yes.

ArriettyJones · 03/04/2020 11:32

I think he seems like a nice grounded bloke.

It’s just the 65 year age gap between siblings that is really quite bizarre. Mind blowing actually. His eldest daughter may well have DGC older than her new brother. How do you react to gaining a new sibling in your sixties? Shock

Plus the 45 year age gap relationship is a bit hmm.

ismellamouse · 03/04/2020 11:57

Given she is 44 and they've been together several years there probably wasn't any sex. A medical procedure is far more likely. This isn't something I can get worked up about really. Plenty of chidren never know their dads who are 70 years younger.

sanityisamyth · 03/04/2020 13:10

I probably shouldn't think it but I think it's revolting 🤢🤮🤢

Whoareyoudududu · 03/04/2020 13:16

So grim. My DH’s Grandad is the same age and the thought of him even having sex is pretty vile tbh Grin.

Mulanlin · 03/04/2020 13:19

Grim.
I don’t understand how his sperm can swim

Fleamaker123 · 03/04/2020 13:27

I can't see how it's anyone's business. It's strange that some people are up in arms because the child won't see it's dad beyond the age of ten, but plenty of children are deliberately being brought into the world who won't even know who, or even what their father looks like!! But we can't talk about that...

wibblewobblejiggle · 03/04/2020 13:33

Except it is talked about.
But don't let facts get in the way of your hyperbole

"plenty of children are deliberately being brought into the world who won't even know who, or even what their father looks like!! But we can't talk about that..."

I get that, but my point is the loss and the grief to a child of losing a parent. Kids who have never known their father don't know what that's like.

Fleamaker123 · 03/04/2020 13:51

Yes I agree.. both are questionable actions. I just don't understand why one is seen as more acceptable than the other!

MarginalGain · 03/04/2020 13:52

He is hilariously repulsive

THIS

BogRollQueen · 03/04/2020 13:56

Oh for goodness sake. He’s ancient. It’s just such a stupid thing to do.

CSIblonde · 03/04/2020 13:58

Given how frail he looks it was probably not conceived naturally. Maybe she wants to be sure she's taken care of after his demise. Otherwise it's v sad to knowingly give your child a father who will not see it grow up. Wealthy relatives have been known to try & challenge last or new wive's entitlement & Will bequests after a death.

Runnerduck34 · 03/04/2020 14:14

Crikey!
Wonder if they had IVF? ( None of my business i know but still..)
Doubt he'll be doing any of the hard graft of child rearing, sleepness nights etc
I hope the child grows up healthy and happy it will definitely be wealthy!
Notice thats really it's only his eldest daughter, 65, would have been born when he young, he would have been well into his fifties when his younger daughters were born.

This thread is an absolute shitshow.

Ageism, now disablism (I guess @LuluJakey1 thinks someone like Peter Dinklage has no business being married or having children either given he's well under 5ft tall), not to mention the implications that someone who is terminally unwell shouldn't have children, frankly unnecessary crude descriptions of other people's bodies (now deleted), suggesting it would be better if the child was aborted, people saying those over 40 shouldn't be parents, random posts full of vomiting emojis which are a) childish, b) unnecessary, and c) add nothing, and posts which are nothing but "eww" "gross" and so forth. I honestly can't believe this thread is still standing.

Mulanlin · 03/04/2020 14:53

Can I just say that my post (now deleted) wasn’t serious about the size 8 comment, it was in response to a horrible comment about Bernie’s height.
Just wanted to show that poster that commenting on someone’s height is no better than commenting on someone’s weight

LuluJakey1 · 03/04/2020 14:55

Absolutely! Grin

We should all only be able to have sex with someone else who has a perfectly proportionate body with a BMI of 25-26, is over 5ft 6 (woman) and 5ft 10 (man), earns £50,000 +, has a clean bill of health, is within 5 years of our own age, has amazingly well-styled hair and is photogenic enough to be on the cover of Vogue.
Anyone else is 'hideously repulsive', 'frail', 'ancient', 'grim', 'revolting', ' a prostitute, a 'gold digger', 'yucky', 'disgusting', 'ewwww', 'an ugly little creep', 'a poisoned dwarf', 'hideously repulsive', 'boak', 'revolting' needs their 'bottom wiped' and/ or has 'an origami penis' and 'can't get it up' according to this thread!

Lockheart · 03/04/2020 14:59

Ah I see, I apologise @LuluJakey1 - I didn't realise your post was tongue in cheek. Considering the rest of the thread, I'm afraid it did look rather horrible.

LuluJakey1 · 03/04/2020 14:59

My comment which has been deleted was 'irony' (see the follow-up comment). I was waiting for someone to take offence so I could make the point. The fact that it was deleted by MN Moderator shows why they should have deleted this whole very offensive thread!
