I am somewhat annoyed and concerned - neither our Sainsbury's nor Waitrose have had any loo roll the last 3 or 4 times I've been in. My child has IBS so I do need some more pretty soon Hmm

A friend who works in a hospital (maternity, no less) complains about visitors RIPPING THE HAND SANITISERS OFF THE WALLS Angry

I bought a 9 pack yesterday and we had 2 rolls left at home so not excessive buying.
I went to Sainsburys. There was plenty loo roll.
Notable low stock was coffee, European red wine (plenty Southern Hemisphere stuff) pasta, rice and biscuits. Went to Aldi today and no ground coffee at all!
Someone must have coffee and loo roll in abundance!

GiantKitten · 11/03/2020 22:22

(They probably nick bog rolls too but she hasn't mentioned that)

Batqueen · 11/03/2020 22:23

Not me. I ordered some of amazon as the supermarkets around here are empty.

aibutohavethisusername · 11/03/2020 22:26

We had a delivery on Sunday and they delivered two pack of toilet wipes and two tiny packs of toilet tissues.

Ontheboardwalk · 11/03/2020 22:27

I’ve got my delivery coming tomorrow with my normal 9 roll pack coming (about 2/3 weeks worth)

None of you had better have my loo roll order!

If I’ve got to panic buy a bidet for my house all the panic buyers need to chip in

Fatted · 11/03/2020 22:32

I'm starting up my own black market bog roll business. Bids start at £50 a roll.

SamanthaJayne4 · 11/03/2020 22:36

You can use newspaper ripped to size. Not sure if the drains would block if you put too much down. I got some bog rolls in Waitrose today. I turned into the aisle and they were just putting some on the shelf. Smile

mayandjuniper · 11/03/2020 22:37

My cleaner stole some of my rolls! Shit is getting real, folks.

Nat6999 · 11/03/2020 22:38

Get to Farmfoods their cheap rolls are still in stock, 24 rolls £4.99.

ErrolTheDragon · 11/03/2020 22:41

Well, this guy should be ok ...

If a mn chicken lasts a week minimum and everyone on mn is doing their bit for the environment as they say then surely there is no need to bulk buy food and everyone is wiping their arse with washable rags.

Frlrlrubert · 11/03/2020 22:43

I get mine in bulk from Amazon every 6 months. We had a delivery in Jan and I just counted. I have 98 toilet rolls Blush

I'd share them if I could but I don't think many are panic buying round here, they still have the stocks they bought when it flooded last month.

Yourteaisgettingcold · 11/03/2020 22:44

Where I live we havent had any issues with toilet roll being out of stock. Definitely seems like mob mentality.

TwoZeroTwoZero · 11/03/2020 22:50

We bought our usual 2 packs of 18 from home bargains a couple of weeks ago so I don't have them. We do have enough to last us another week or so though! I wonder if people are thinking that this cv brings massive bouts of uncontrollable diarrhoea?!

poppyonastring · 11/03/2020 22:56

@Feetupteashot

It's HIM (Arnie!) HE has got them.

He got them from Aisle B, at the back.

TeeniefaeTroon · 11/03/2020 23:51

I'm an estate agent and about to put a property on the market which has a bidet (normally thought of as being old fashioned). I'm seriously thinking about advertising it as a positive point 😁

TeeniefaeTroon · 11/03/2020 23:53

I also checked our house to see how many we have and think we'll be alright for a while. I bought a 24 pack at the start of the month (this is usual when I do a big shop) and think we've about 16 left.

CyberNan · 11/03/2020 23:59

I have two colleagues who have both stocked up with extra loo roll... neither knew why they did this, saying they bought extra loo roll because everyone else was doing it.

the world is full of sheep.... baaaa baaaa baaaaaaaaaaaaa

JustBecauseItWorkedForYou · 12/03/2020 00:15

In costco today normally a whole Aisle of nappies. There was 2 small stacks one size 3 one size 6 . Luckily each size that was left were the 2 sizes I needed. I only got them because I needed them a giga pack of each that I buy monthly anyway normally end of month but been too busy to go before today

They had sold out of 10npallets of loo roll in 15 min the cashier said. That's with a 1 limit each. Crazy
