Ok. Just got lip fillers. Yesterday. Are they as bad as I think they are. To me they look deformed! Covered bruises with lipstick....

God why would you do that to yourself? They look awful. Not deformed but not at all nice.

YeahWhatevver · 15/02/2020 12:04

Don't think I could pick out anything wrong with them.

Maybe slightly fuller on the left than the right as shown in the photo. Presumably there's a bit of swelling?

Princessfaffalot · 15/02/2020 12:04

They’re very, very uneven too. I’d be getting them dissolved.

YeahWhatevver · 15/02/2020 12:05

"Princessfaffalot"

How can you tell that from a low res photo?

Petals000 · 15/02/2020 12:06

They will even out and it's normal to bruise. Massage them everyday but not to hard

Princessfaffalot · 15/02/2020 12:07

Because I have eyes...

MimiLaRue · 15/02/2020 12:07

Ok you need to calm down. You never assess the final result until the swelling has gone down. Usually 48-72 hours is about right. Wait until the swelling and bruising has gone (you'd be amazed how much that can deform the result) and then have a look at them. You can always ask for them to be dissolved in worst case scenario. They dont look that bad to me but they do look typically swollen.

Deep breaths, OP. This will be fine.

rebecca102 · 15/02/2020 12:07

@Princessfaffalot lol

omgitcantbetrue · 15/02/2020 12:08

Yes. I presume swelling. Hope so. This is so cringe worthy. EVERYONE will know I’ve done this. I’m going to wait a week then remove if they still look so... stuck on.
I did this on a whim. So so stupid

I really don't understand why people do this to themselves, it never looks good. It looks like you've had an allergic reaction or been stung by a jellyfish or something.

DesLynamsMoustache · 15/02/2020 12:09

🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm not sure I'd really notice anything tbh.

pigsDOfly · 15/02/2020 12:10

I'm not a fan of lip fillers, I think they rarely improve a person's appearance, but as lip fillers go, they don't look bad at all as far as it's possible to tell in a photo.

I imagine it takes a bit of time getting used to your different appearance and given, as you say, they are bruised, they will look quite a big to you; give them a chance to settle down.

MimiLaRue · 15/02/2020 12:10

I knew this would be your first time! Relax. Mine always look absolutely hideous when first done and then after 48 hours they look sublime.
You need to just be patient and see what happens after swelling and bruising has gone. You cant expect to inject needles into your lips and have no bodily reaction. The swelling will go.

RachelTension · 15/02/2020 12:10

I quite like them, but yes, wait til the swelling has gone down and see then if you're worried.

omgitcantbetrue · 15/02/2020 12:13

Petals00 They are quite painful. Should I massage anyway?

Umm. You can always tell when someone’s had fillers. They never look like natural full lips.

Your vermillion line has been ‘blown’ on the top lip. If it doesn’t settle, go back. Did you check out your surgeons work before chosing them?

L1appelDuVide · 15/02/2020 12:15

I’m going to get flamed to hell and back but just know this comes from a good place....

Yes they look deformed because you literally paid someone to deform you to make you look ‘normal’. Is injecting stuff into your face making you happy? No it’s not. Please, please learn to love yourself, as you are, chemical and plastic free. It’s not the easy option but it’s less physically painful and stressful and the results are more pleasing to the eye Flowers

ReturnofSaturn · 15/02/2020 12:16

They don't look great but don't look awful either. Hopefully they will go down as it looks wrong the top lip being bigger than the bottom.

They’ll be swollen for a few days, and probably look/feel uneven. If they haven’t settled by day 5 I’d go back to where you had them done, just for them to check them out.

I’m sure they’ll be fine though by Monday.

MimiLaRue · 15/02/2020 12:16

this comes from a good place...

If this is you coming from a "good place" I'd hate to see what youre like when coming from a bad place......

omgitcantbetrue · 15/02/2020 12:17

Collected kids from school. 13 year old Dd, on seeing me exclaimed. Omg. You look like one of those Russians?!?

Younger DD said. That lipstick looks awful.

Everyone knows when people have lip fillers anyway. I couldn't tell you what is good or bad about yours. Isn't the point that they're meant to look stuck on?

L1appelDuVide · 15/02/2020 12:17

@MimiLaRue you know it Wink

It also comes from a place that has to deal with the fallout of all these bullshit treatments.
