Ok. Just got lip fillers. Yesterday. Are they as bad as I think they are. To me they look deformed! Covered bruises with lipstick....

OP, they are bruised and swollen. It’s far too early to see the end result. It wasn’t until the 7th-9th day that I had my final result. At first they were swollen, lumpy, uneven and bruised.
Please don’t get obsessed at what they are looking like right now. If after a week and a bit you don’t like them, get them dissolved. How much did you have put in?
FWIW, I think they’ll look nice in a week, although without knowing what they looked like before it’s hard to tell.
It is concerning that you were able to be seen and injected so quickly though, and the fact you actually said you did it on a whim.

@Russellbrandshair Yikes! Polyfilla it is then!

MrsJBaptiste · 15/02/2020 15:31

@starbuckssuzie Yours do look good 👍

HisValentine · 15/02/2020 15:38

Ive been having fillers for 4.5 years now in my lips.
I've had Botox, cheek fillers, chin and jaw.

You can't tell for two weeks what they will look like!

If you have asymmetrical lips they will have put more in some bits of even it out. These areas will swell more obviously. Bruising is normal. Especially if I are due on your period, everything is more sensitive.

omgitcantbetrue · 15/02/2020 15:47

Starbucksuzie. They look fab!

Suzie's do like nice and natural! Op your don't look horrific, shame they're sore but hopefully that will go. Could've been a lot worse I think!

Russellbrandshair · 15/02/2020 16:01

Suzie- you look great!

starbuckssuzie · 15/02/2020 16:27

Thank you for the compliments Smile

My DP who hates anything to do with fake face stuff was shocked when I admitted to having them done, as we met after I had them. I have 1 ml every 18 months & I always stress not to alter the natural shape of my lips & that I would just like them looking fuller as it's a natural part of ageing that your lips loose volume over time & mine lost a significant amount of volume due to natural ageing.

userxx · 15/02/2020 16:44

Op, they look absolutely fine, stop worrying. There are some vile comments on here.

cologne4711 · 15/02/2020 16:52

The drive to push women into altering their appearance to please others and for in to what’s aesthetically ‘acceptable’ to society is vulgar and cruel and should not be encouraged in any way shape or form

If I were putting myself through it I would actually want to look better. In most cases people just look like they've had work done, not younger.

Cosmetic procedures should not be allowed except to cover up scarring, deal with breast surgery for cancer etc. Not just because someone thinks they look too frowny or have thin lips. Spend the money on a nice city break instead! You'll look just as good after a nice rest!

AnotherDFSsale · 15/02/2020 16:56

They look ok. Bruising is normal I've been told by friends who do it?

Russellbrandshair · 15/02/2020 16:57

Nope. You don’t get to tell me how to spend my money, sorry!
I’ll have it in my lips thanks. My money, my body.

Lippy1234 · 15/02/2020 16:58

I spend my money on nice city breaks and on my lips.

Poursomesugaronme88 · 15/02/2020 17:03

Mumsnet hate lip fillers for some reason.... if done right they can look lovely and noone would even notice. Swelling can sometimes take up to three weeks to settle. A good practitioner would fix them if uneven though.

ButDoYouAvacado · 15/02/2020 17:27

Mine looked shocking for a couple of days, swollen, daft looking with bruising. When they calmed down I loved them! They are natural looking and not pouty.

Give it a couple of days

rainpain · 15/02/2020 17:40

Someone upthread mentioned Kylie Jenner, have they seen her lips/face in action? Photos are deceptive & it's often when the face is in motion that fillers etc look odd.

bengalcat · 15/02/2020 18:10

Give it 48 - 72hrs for the swelling to go down / surely your Practitioner told you this ? Looks pretty ok to me as much as one can tell from a low res photo

userxx · 15/02/2020 18:17

🤣🤣 nope, fillers will look better.

Robstersgirl · 15/02/2020 18:19

I don’t think any lip fillers I’ve ever seen look nice. They are always super obvious.

AnnDaloozier · 15/02/2020 18:23

I’d have agreed until a colleague who used to smoke had them done and she looks great

omgitcantbetrue · 15/02/2020 18:31

Bengalcat. Yes she did. Not stopped me freaking out at my pout.

DH asked why I’d want to look like a porn star. Also couldn’t stop himself laughing at me today. I took it all in jest. Which I have to. It’s just not something you’d have thought I’d do, so I understand him feeling perplexed....

bengalcat · 15/02/2020 18:36

It will settle and then you’ll be ok - try not to punch DH .... porn star RUDE boy

IveGotBillsTheyreMultiplying · 15/02/2020 18:38
