Amber Heard and Depp audio

MargeB · 02/02/2020 00:09

Am I the only one sickened by the latest audio of Amber admitting to physically assaulting Depp? Calling him a baby, her excuse being she gets 'so mad sometimes', and how hitting him in the face wasnt a punch because she didn't 'deck' him. Im sorry, she's vile.

And shame on all the MN posters over the past few years calling for Depp to be cancelled and how disgusted everyone was that he still had a career.

Those of us who tried to urge caution were shouted down as defenders of a wife beater. I hope those expressing their disgust have a long hard look at them selves, or better listen to the audio.

Shes trash, and to think Depps kids have been bullied on social media for sticking up for him, whilst he was being abused by that horrible woman.

OP posts:
NotTheLangCleg · 02/02/2020 00:14

So you’re telling other people off for not listening to you urging caution whilst you call someone else trash?
That sounds consistent. Confused

I know who he is, not who she is, haven’t listened to anything regarding any of this and haven’t called anyone a wife beater or to be cancelled. Or seen that on MN TBH though maybe I missed it.

doubleshotespresso · 02/02/2020 00:23

Do you have a link please OP?

I'd agree with some if your points, I never found AH very believable in her claims, I find sometimes threads on here on this sort of subject often become a vehicle for others to project heavily across . Sadly often without knowing the facts.

We don't know the facts and this is why I'd add that every opinion is valid, though I'd accept some could have been better conveyed on the previous Johnny Depp threads

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 02/02/2020 00:23

Always makes me laugh when people on here declare "shame on you!" like anyone really gives a shit what some random pontificator on MN thinks of them.

I saw the footage of him too. It went both ways. They're both horrible.

OwlBeThere · 02/02/2020 00:26

I think they are both trash, their relationship seems to have been very, very toxic. I’m not sure that he is an innocent victim any more than she is.

Waiting1987 · 02/02/2020 00:32

I've listened to recording and it does seem to confirm she was violent. Sounds like they both were guilty of physical violence at some point.

I do really hope she gets some sort of comeuppance for painting him as the absolute villain.

DartmoorChef · 02/02/2020 00:35

I never believed her. Never thought he was an angel either but I strongly think she would have goaded and instigated. I have read the transcripts and it she belittles him fir walking away and not fighting back. She is one nasty piece of work.

DartmoorChef · 02/02/2020 00:36

Sorry typos galore in my last post. 🙁

AutumnRose1 · 02/02/2020 00:48

I have heard the tape and was surprised this wasn’t here yet.

Arguing about whether it was a hit or a punch.

If the tape’s genuine, surely she will be charged?

doolallylala · 02/02/2020 00:48

The texts between JD & AHs parents are interesting.

AntiSocialInjusticePacifist · 02/02/2020 00:49

Obviously you can never entirely know unless you're there. However fact is Depp does not have a string of exes who have made the accusation of domestic violence. Heard unfortunately has.

I think the OP is onto something in that as I very much doubt those who called for the cancelling of Depp are at all the same voices calling for the cancelling of Heard. I think that sort of hypocrisy needs to be called out.

AutumnRose1 · 02/02/2020 00:54

Was this the recording played in court? I’m confused, wouldn’t that be kept back until a verdict had been reached?

CSIblonde · 02/02/2020 00:54

I don't know what to believe of either of them. But in a late night channel surfing a year back, ended up on some US documentary & a US journalist saying he was banned from most high end London hotels before his marriage, after beating up a high class call girl in one. But they went on to say re the Amber Heard thing, his ex wife has insisted there was never any DV in their fairly long marriage. Maybe it's a feature only when he's unhappy, spiralling & drinking: has been known.

HeadachesByTheDozen · 02/02/2020 00:55

And how do we know the audio is actually real?

Kljnmw3459 · 02/02/2020 00:57

Well I mean he is well known for violent behaviour so it's not too hard to believe that he would behave violently in different situations. I don't know much about amber heard. Perhaps she's the same.

Sadiesnakes · 02/02/2020 00:57

Well he did leave his long term partner for Amber who was half is age. That alone made him trash in my estimations.

They are both trash and deserved each other imo.

GlummyMcGlummerson · 02/02/2020 01:00

Hi Johnny's Mum 👋🏻

Yeah, I'm still not ashamed for pointing out Depp's behaviour when he hit her with a phone and there was a video of him drinking a pint of wine and going crazy at her. He was abusive AF but somehow her calling him a baby cancels that out? 🧐

You're not the poster who, on a thread about him throwing a phone at her face, said it was her own fault because she didn't duck, are you?

GlummyMcGlummerson · 02/02/2020 01:02

However fact is Depp does not have a string of exes who have made the accusation of domestic violence. Heard unfortunately has.

If by "string" you are referring to the ex girlfriend who simply argued with Heard in an airport which lead to Heard's arrest, then you're barking up the wrong tree - it was clearly a homophobic act on the part of the police, there was no violence, both women have said so many times

doolallylala · 02/02/2020 01:03

I read the cop was openly a lesbian?

HeadachesByTheDozen · 02/02/2020 01:04

Even if the audio is real and isn't doctored, I think the OP is way over the top and is unreasonable. Lets presume it's real; so it happened this time. Does the OP even know how more likely it is for a story of domestic abuse of women to be true? 90% more likely than not. So you struck gold on this. There is no need to be so smug and offensive. It is a FACT that women are far far far more likely to be abused than men. That is a fact. So it is a reasonable assumption to believe a woman instead of doubting her. I would rather go through life giving women, whom are killed in their hundreds yearly by their male partners, the benefit of the doubt and BELIEVE her, than not. The OP being right this once, does not justify their trying to shame women for merely....believing women.

It's possibly isn't it that she was hitting him in self defence? Maybe she was and maybe she wasn't but this is a tiny clip of edited audio taken entirely out of context. Who recorded this conversation, and why? Who released it, and why?

doolallylala · 02/02/2020 01:12

I generally am on the side of believing women but I remember thinking some of the stuff surrounding the original story was dodgy. The texts for one, the police officers report who turned up to the altercation, the building staffs reports.

I think they probably were as bad as each other & had a very volatile relationship

GlummyMcGlummerson · 02/02/2020 01:13

@fligglepige my thoughts too - so many women are arrested when fighting back a violent partner.

JillAmanda · 02/02/2020 01:13

Anyone got a link?

messolini9 · 02/02/2020 01:23

I read the cop was openly a lesbian?

Is that in the same way that I am openly "a hetero", @doolallylala?

Check your internalised homophobia.
Also, maybe upgrade your reading matter.
