I've bought a new bed for the dog.

'Large' size, allegedly suitable for large dogs like labradors etc.

Thought she'd really like it as she isn't allowed on the leather sofa.

My 15kg dog barely fits on it..

I am just so disappointed, DH thinks it's fine.

That'll learn me for buying online I suppose, I should have bought one I could see in the shop.

Don't know if it'll be worth my while returning it with the postage.

Yep I am!! I know where she came from tbh. She was a poacher's ddog where we used to live. She is 10 this year.

I paid a similar amount for my dogs bed, it's a big memory foam thing and I've been tempted to put the ducking thing on my own bed as it's very comfy (don't ask how I know) and she prefers the hard floor or the sofa 99 per cent of the time.

Schade sounds familiar! Those slashing motions triggered an eye ulcer which eventually resulted in partial removal of her lower eyelid! She still hasn’t learned her lesson though, obv!

Homebound Ikea do 2 sofas for under £100 and the £80 one looks like it would work quite well as a dog sofa.

You can get a good quality stylish suite for far less than £5k. Most people never spend anywhere near that amount.

But in any case, a cheap human sofa wouldn't work as it would be too big for the space.
