I've bought a new bed for the dog.

'Large' size, allegedly suitable for large dogs like labradors etc.

Thought she'd really like it as she isn't allowed on the leather sofa.

My 15kg dog barely fits on it..

I am just so disappointed, DH thinks it's fine.

That'll learn me for buying online I suppose, I should have bought one I could see in the shop.

Ugh.
Don't know if it'll be worth my while returning it with the postage.

It's like a fucking dolly dog bed.

It's an animal and should be happy outside in a kennel or inside on the floor at best

Yeah she'd whine and bark her head off outside.
You clearly haven't spent much time with dogs accustomed to life indoors.

And she is getting older and a little stiff so while she could sleep on the hardwood floor, she is going to have the option of a comfy bed thanks.

Oh and also, the posters that said tiny bed looks uncomfortable, DH sat on it and confirmed it is infact very comfy. Just a wee bit small.

Doubt it, visitors often comment my dog has no doggy smell to her.
Pretty sure my house doesn't smell either, though I always say if people find my dog offensive in any way feel free to leave.

They’re more than welcome to not come to my house, or indeed anywhere near me if I smell offensive (which I’m pretty sure I don’t).

It's really not.
She can lie down on it but can't stretch her legs out on it at all which in my view makes it too small.

I've measured the xxl large and will be ordering that one instead.

Woah @onegiftedgal I don't think this is the thread for you.
Not all dogs smell as it happens and if you clean your house there's no reason why you/your house will smell.
But, as others have said, my dog is my family so if it bothers anyone they are quite welcome to keep their distance.

Oh god yes - the Lynx. When your teenage boy sprays so much of it in his bedroom that you can taste it three rooms away and on a different floor. Weaponised fragrance.
