I've bought a new bed for the dog.

'Large' size, allegedly suitable for large dogs like labradors etc.

Thought she'd really like it as she isn't allowed on the leather sofa.

My 15kg dog barely fits on it..

I am just so disappointed, DH thinks it's fine.

That'll learn me for buying online I suppose, I should have bought one I could see in the shop.

Ugh.
Don't know if it'll be worth my while returning it with the postage.

It's like a fucking dolly dog bed.

There's only one thing for it OP. You and your family will have to sit on the doggy sofa and your dog can stretch out on the human sofa. It's the only solution. I'm sure the dog won't mind sacrificing his sofa for you.

Yes, that is the bed, i couldn't remember the exact figure I paid for it hence saying 'close to £100' when asked, looking at the email I paid £65 + an additional £9 for delivery so that works out at £74 total.

She'll have plenty of room if she sits on it like a human

I never buy anything online if I can get it from a local shop. Too many bad experiences and disaster stories. Even if you can't see what you want in a shop, they will often order things in for you.

I've got a JRT/toy poodle X - he sleeps on our sofa. if we try to sit on it as well he 'accidentally' kicks out his back legs and boots us off.
IME boy dogs like to stretch out on their backs with their knickers and bobbins on display (much like male humans). So that dog sofa would be a bit restricted.

I think saying it would fit a labrador is a bit misleading though - my next door neighbour has a labrador - I would guess he weighs about a tonne, and is a canine hoover when it comes to food - if I meet him and neighbour coming back from shop he will ram his nose into my bag to see if there is anything in there he fancies for a snack. He wouldn't fit on that bed in a million years.

Ddogs also have ddog size beds.

Thanks, @Schaden. He certainly had a character all his own - he didn't have the best start in life and never learned how to dog, so he was always a crazy mixed up kid. But so loving.
