To ask how many weeks you were when you gave birth?

Gratuitous posting for traffic, sorry! I'm 30 weeks pregnant with my first and curious to hear stories about all of Mumsnet's birthing stories!

Were you bang on time? Late? Super early? Anyone's water break while speaking at a conference or at a family dinner? How was the labour? Any complications? ..were you prepared and how are your DCs now?

38, 38, 36 and 41+1.

I was 39 weeks, Elective CS. I loved having everything in place and knowing exactly what would happen.

DC1 - 8 days late
DC2 - 7 days late
DC3 - 3 days early

28 and 27 weeks respectively. Both DDs spent 8 weeks in NICU but came home without oxygen and were EBF on discharge

37+2 for my only girl. I have hashimotos so early was kind of expected.

40+6 first time 40+8 second time. Waters broke with no labour both times so I needed syntocin drip. Relatively quick unassisted delivery both times. Bloody hard work though.

Due date 13/01, went in to labour 21st Jan, born 25th Jan so 40+2

33 weeks and 40 weeks

38 (D), 41 (lazy S!), 38,5 (D).

5 days overdue

@StylishMummy that must have been frightening; how are your DC now?

38+4 with dd

37+3 with ds but I had sweep with him for medical reasons to get him moving. Would have been induced at 38 weeks if he didn’t come out.

39+6

41+5 (had to go in and get waters broken to start thing off)

40+1

Dd1 was 40+1
Dts were by planned section at 37 weeks

11 days late, 15 days late, 10 days late (induced so would have been longer)

Waters broke at 40+5 but dd arrived bang on 41 weeks

41 weeks and 38... My 2nd was early by as many days as my first was late... Bizarrely

40+5 with DC2

That was after multiple sweeps with both of them as they were going to induce me at 41 weeks (due to another medical condition) and I was desperate to avoid that!

@emmy4 33 weeks - what was the birth weight? Any complications?

She had an infection, so she was kept in for a week, but otherwise she was fine, and is now a happy, healthy 12yo!

40, 42, 34, 37 weeks.
All 4 were inductions due to one thing or another, the worst one was the 34 week, easiest was 42 weeks even though she was one of the biggest!

@MiseryChops 41+5 you must have been pretty uncomfortable! How much did s/he weigh?
