To ask how many weeks you were when you gave birth?

Gratuitous posting for traffic, sorry! I'm 30 weeks pregnant with my first and curious to hear stories about all of Mumsnet's birthing stories!

Were you bang on time? Late? Super early? Anyone's water break while speaking at a conference or at a family dinner? How was the labour? Any complications? ..were you prepared and how are your DCs now?

42+1, 41+4, 41+2. All over 10lbs. Induced every time because they don’t want to leave my womb.

42+3 (IVF so no doubt on dates) pessary, water broken, drip all had no effect. Crash emergency section needed in the end.

41+3 for my son
39+4 for my daughter (induced as baby was measuring big)

Both weighed 9lb 7oz...

41+6 both times

Induced both times. 6 hour labour both times.

Complication was back to back second baby - so much more painful! Also a haemorrhage afterwards but I was ok.

Ds 39 weeks.

According to my records I was 42 weeks but according my calculations I was 41 weeks and bang on when I expected. In France they calculate due date as 41 weeks so I decided to do the same to reduce stress about being 'overdue'. DD was 7lb4.

I was induced at 40+14 and he was born nearly 4 days later!! So 18 days late.

4 weeks early - 4lb 4oz.
on due date - 6lb 6oz.
10 days early - 4lb 12oz.

38 weeks with my first! I had a lot of blood which I thought wasn't normal, it was just a show! Got to the hospital and I was 8cm, my waters went when I was on the loo haha!
I actually had a really good birthing experience, OP are you nervous about labour? x x

DC1 due date
DC2 went into labour on due date, dc born next day.

I'm very punctual!!!

41+6

41 weeks, spontaneous onset, slow buildup over a weekend.

38 weeks, induced due to pre existing medical problems. This was the worst. It took 3 days in the ward to start labour. I was in the bay opposite the doors for labour and delivery so watched a stream of people going in and out whilst I was stuck going nowhere.

42 weeks, induced and thankfully contractions started immediately.

Dd1 32+4 emcs 3lb 4oz will be 10 in May
Dd2 due date 6lb 13.

I went to the hospital with reduced movements at 38 weeks and as I got out of the car at the hospital my waters went very dramatically labour didn't start by itself so I was induced the next day, spent a week in hospital with us both on an antibiotic drip for suspected infections but we were both fine !!

Both 40 by my calculations, though the medical opinion based on scans was 40+3 and 40+6 I think, MW was getting a bit restless on the second one!

40+6 but that's because my waters were bulging and my midwife accudentally broke them during my sweep!

33 weeks EMCS under GA because his heartbeat was slowing. 4lb 2oz and was in SCBU for 23 days

Went into labour 2 days before my due day. The little monkey was born 3 hours after my due date!

I really wanted her to be a due date baby but she just didn’t want to come out!

38 weeks. Election section due to the horrors of HG. I'd have had him at 37 weeks if they let me shudders at the memory

Following this with interest! I'm 36+6 today and feeling lots and lots of pressure!
