To find baby animals cuter than actual babies?

I mean, give me a cute puppy or kitten any day. Whenever anyone shows me photos of their babies/toddlers I secretly think to myself ‘my cat is so much cuter’. Anyone else feel the same?! This is a light-hearted thread by the way, no offence to anyone with young children!

Couldn't agree more. I don't think they are in any way appealing at all. If, however, I could give birth to baby orangutans, I'd be constantly up the duff.

No way! I'm one of THOSE people, who loves babies and toddlers though... Nothing is cuter to me. Also, most cats and dogs smell a bit. Most babies don't smell bad, (other than nappies of course. But, at least I don't have to scrape that off the pavement and carry it around in a poo bag till we get home, or have it sit around in a litter tray / all over my neighbour's gardens, and it's only for the first few years, unlike with cats and dogs where poo is a lifelong job)!

So, all in all I think YABU.

I think it's partly because we're better at 'ranking' human faces, so find some sweet and some less so. Whereas baby animals are tiny and fluffy!

My own babies were the cutest, most gorgeous little humans ever created, but I don't find anyone else's cute. I prefer kittens.

No I think babies mostly either look like potatoes or angry old men I don’t get all the gushing unless it’s for politeness sake. Whereas I find about 90% of all baby animals so adorable

YANBU. Obviously my baby is the cutest living thing ever to exist, but I can take or leave other people's. Animals are far cuter, generally speaking.

I love my twins to my bones and I think they’re damned cute... but baby animals are much cuter!

But DH says I’m not the best judge of cuteness because I find baby hippos and baby alligators adorable
