Sure the dress is alright (not my style) but God is it spiralling out of control.

I’ve just read this www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/the-zara-dress_uk_5d516d12e4b0fd2733f353b1

and can’t quite believe people are mocking and posting pictures of strangers on an Instagram account and hashtag dedicated to a bloody dress.

I've never seen "The Dress" before. It's quite ugly, tbh.

reginafelangee · 15/08/2019 23:11

Haven't seen or heard of this dress.

It's not reached my part of Scotland. Smile

ladymariner · 15/08/2019 23:17

I have no idea what this is about but I like the look of the dress....could you explain what s going on, please op?

SleepingSoul · 15/08/2019 23:19

I must be living under a rock then, haven't heard anything about it. Mind you I'm not big on Instagram, so if it's an influencer thing that'd explain it.

Twiggywinkle13 · 15/08/2019 23:19

@reginafelangee nor my part of Scotland Grin

Horehound · 15/08/2019 23:22

Its horrible!

Bbang · 15/08/2019 23:22

I have this dress 😅 I actually really love it and get lots of compliments so it must look halfway okay on me.

However, yes every woman and her dog has it, also annoyingly the black from the polka dots ran onto the white the last time I washed it and I’ve had to go through Zara head office to get a refund which took three months!

QueenofmyPrinces · 15/08/2019 23:28

I have never heard of it and can’t even see a picture of it in that article so I’m still none the wiser....

MyNewBearTotoro · 15/08/2019 23:30

I’ve never seen or heard of this dress before and can’t see how it’s popular. It looks like an ugly, shapeless Victorian nightdress in the few photos I found. Not to my taste at all.

justasking111 · 15/08/2019 23:31

saw two last week they looked lovely.

bluebell34567 · 15/08/2019 23:32

i dont like zara stuff anyway.

Gingerkittykat · 15/08/2019 23:33

Not my part of Scotland either, I'm assuming it's maybe a London thing.

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 15/08/2019 23:34

I’ve seen it posted on here , don’t like it

LemonRedwood · 15/08/2019 23:35

I didn't know about the dress. DH did. Not quite sure what that tells me.

newyork2017 · 15/08/2019 23:36

I have it along with about 1 in 3 women in Glasgow! It does fit really well for Zara & I've had the same 'nod' too!

arethereanyleftatall · 15/08/2019 23:36

There's a few dresses on that post, admittedly just skimmed. Which one is it supposed to be? Never heard of it, never noticed it either way.

FiveFarthings · 15/08/2019 23:38

Yup, already seen it on the Daily Mail. Horrible dress and I’ve not seen it suit any one so far. Just shows the power of social media, that people will buy and wear this hideous dress that doesn’t suit them just for likes on Instagram! What a sad world

manicinsomniac · 15/08/2019 23:44

I can't really tell from those photos but I think I know a couple of people with this dress. I really liked it on them. Not so much on the person in those photos (if it is indeed the same dress).

I've got quite into the long sleeved, hippy style maxi dresses this summer.

BugEyedBeans · 15/08/2019 23:45

A 2-page article in the Guardian!
A dress is news??

BreconBeBuggered · 15/08/2019 23:45

Never heard of it as a phenomenon & haven't noticed anyone wearing it. Looks bloody awful to me.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/08/2019 23:47

Looks better back to front with neck

Sure everyone is wearing it wrong 😂😂

thewinkingprawn · 15/08/2019 23:48

Why would something just be a London thing when there are Zara’s all over the country 🤔

Spongeface · 15/08/2019 23:49

Not in my part of Scotland either ;) maybe it will hit us next year. Be kind then!

pinkdelight · 15/08/2019 23:49

I'm in London and this is the first I've heard about it. Assuming it's one of those daft summer stories like the flesh-eating bug that was gonna kill us all one summer. Now it's a spotty dress. As if there's no real news in the world to cover!
