Sure the dress is alright (not my style) but God is it spiralling out of control.

I’ve just read this www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/the-zara-dress_uk_5d516d12e4b0fd2733f353b1

and can’t quite believe people are mocking and posting pictures of strangers on an Instagram account and hashtag dedicated to a bloody dress.

Hasn't reached me either and I'm in London too. The dress looks average but the rest of the things in those photos Confused

Seeingadistance · 15/08/2019 23:52

Not evident in this part of Scotland either.

EustaciaPieface · 15/08/2019 23:53

They are everywhere in Glasgow! I really like it actually.

Sorrysorrysosorry · 15/08/2019 23:54

Funnily enough it looks miles better than when modelled officially

(I had to google. Apologies for the appalling link Blush. )

PeanutButterCheesecake · 15/08/2019 23:57

I have no idea what the fuck she is talking about

Sunflower20 · 15/08/2019 23:57

I don’t get it, it’s a really average dress? How did it become viral?

HarrietSchulenberg · 15/08/2019 23:57

Not seen a single person wearing it here in sunny north Shropshire, or south Cheshire, or north Wales.

About 20 years ago there was a patterned shirt/blouse from Next that was v popular and I'd see 3 or 4 different people in it every day. But before days of SM so went largely unreported.

That Zara dress looks like a sack anyway. It most definitely does not suit all wearers.

Cherrysoup · 15/08/2019 23:58

Ugly dress. Might look OK on someone very skinny but the high neck is not (Imo as a fat person) flattering for anyone who isn't.

70sWitch · 16/08/2019 00:00

That's one FRUMPY LOOKIN' frock. Grin

Fatasfooook · 16/08/2019 00:03

It’s a bit horrid

AmICrazyorWhat2 · 16/08/2019 00:05

I saw some pictures of it and "frumpy" was the first word that sprang to mind. Grin Still, it looks comfy for hot weather... but I'm not buying one.

ViserionTheDragon · 16/08/2019 00:07

I live in London and see this dress on a minimum of two people a day in the last month or so. Yes, it's gone too far. I rember seeing it in store a few months ago and considered buying it but didn't because it's polyester (I think). I don't regret thst decision at all Grin.

BuntyCollocks · 16/08/2019 00:10

I have the dress, got it in May before the hype started and had compliments on it. Wearing it dressed up in a couple of weeks for a wedding. Slightly worried I may not be the only one 😂

lololove · 16/08/2019 00:12

I haven't seen it in public, nor have I heard about it anywhere other than here. What a godawful thing it is :|

PastelPotential · 16/08/2019 00:14

You know scene in Carrie, the original not the pointless remake, where Piper Laurie attacks Sissy Spacek with a knife. And Piper is wearing a long nightdress. That is what the Zara dress reminds me of.

Xmasbaby11 · 16/08/2019 00:14

How weird. It just looks like a normal dress and I don't think I've spotted it in Sheffield.

PastelPotential · 16/08/2019 00:15

Although it does look better with a belt.

steff13 · 16/08/2019 00:17

The link didn't work for me so I had to google; is it the polka-dotted dress shaped like a sack? If so, it's shapeless and not my taste.

tinkering · 16/08/2019 00:17

I don’t like it either. I think the print is pretty but it doesn’t suit any body shape (to my eye anyway!) - on the model it looks like a nightie and in the blog post above the author describes it as ‘not sack like’ when it very much looks it to me!

MummytoCSJH · 16/08/2019 00:19

Bloody hell that dress is awful! Hadn't heard of it or seen anyone in it here (I'm in Yorkshire).

ScaryBunnyPainting · 16/08/2019 00:21

could you explain what s going on, please op?
It is basically a Zara dress that a lot of people seem to think is flattering on a number of people and it is everywhere. It has become a bit of a joke how often you spot it when you’re out once you know it exists.

People are buying multiples, they are snatching them up and dying them and generally talking about the dress like it is their saviour.

When people go out in public it has become sport to take photos of people and post it to the hashtag which is really unfair.

Tried to post this for ages but MN was playing up for me for hours. Sorry!

It is an awful looking dress, can't see anything special with it. It's a pity that lots of people just wan't to look the same these days. But it will soon be gone, and then another horrible creation will be all the rage.

Hithere12 · 16/08/2019 00:34

Sorry but wtf did I just read 😳

AmICrazyorWhat2 · 16/08/2019 00:59

Grin Grin it's not THAT bad, but it definitely doesn't suit everyone.

PasDeGeeGees · 16/08/2019 01:22

It hasn't reached my part of the leafy Home Counties either.
