Everyone here (nearly) says it will be bad.
Let's hear some positives about our coming freedom from the EU!

Have you got any examples?

SaucyJack · 28/01/2019 11:40

You first?

longwayoff · 28/01/2019 11:41

Yes. YABVVVU.

kitkatsky · 28/01/2019 11:42

I can't think of any shrugs

Sparklesocks · 28/01/2019 11:43

Errr...if you enjoy not knowing what's going on and paying more for things then it's great?

RtHonLady · 28/01/2019 11:43

No, can't think of any positives.

dublindingledarling · 28/01/2019 11:44

Nope, sorry. I'd love to hear some upsides, though. They do need to be based in facts though, which is where the problem lies...

mothertruck3r · 28/01/2019 11:44

Lower house prices, lower rents (less demand).

araiwa · 28/01/2019 11:44

Blue passports

eurochick · 28/01/2019 11:44

@@@@@

(That's a tumbleweed blowing across the thread)

hazell42 · 28/01/2019 11:44

I think it is really wonderful that we are all going to be plunged into uncertainty for the next 20 years. Really. Wonderful.
How's that?

CannyLad · 28/01/2019 11:46

Tourism could boom as the pound drops through the the floor?

Sadly as we won't be able to go abroad that means staying at home for all foreseeable holidays as everywhere will be rammed with those damn foreigners we were trying to keep out in the first place.

Whatdoiwanttohear · 28/01/2019 11:47

Moby you baffle me, cannot work out which 'side' you are on ever!

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 28/01/2019 11:48

I don’t know what the positives are....and crucially not does anyone else.

We’re heading into uncharted territory and it feels like we have no map.

I hope it will be okay but I can’t be one of these gung ho “we survived in the war” people.

SisterOfDonFrancisco · 28/01/2019 11:48

Yes please, I want something good to come out of this. Change of government for example.

mobyduck · 28/01/2019 11:48

There must be many positives or we wouldn't have voted for it, would we? Let's air them, as a balance against all the doom and gloom forecasts. I'm being serious.

You can request whatever the fuck you want. I'd like Hugh Jackman naked and a million quid and that's more probable than a happy Brexit

LaurieFairyCake · 28/01/2019 11:49

Even if there were and you were a most ardent leaver there are none right NOW as the whole thing is up in the air with no clear direction.

redexpat · 28/01/2019 11:50

Ive just got a job paying more than the national average in denmark so will have to start paying back my student loan. But the pound will probably go even lower so I will pay it off quicker.

Thats all Ive got.

BollocksToBrexit · 28/01/2019 11:50

Over 17 million people want this and between them they can't come up with a single positive that doesn't require belief in unicorns.

Gilead · 28/01/2019 11:50

Nope. There isn't anything.

MeetJoeTurquoise · 28/01/2019 11:50

Errrmmmmm, nope, can't think of any. Nada, not a thing.

quebecwas · 28/01/2019 11:51

My son will finally be able to buy hopefully as prices have already dropped a lot where he lives. He has also seen his salary gone up as there is less competition for what he does and his employer has realised they will have to pay more to keep him. Win-win.

TheABC · 28/01/2019 11:52

The Tory party implodes. Labour is looking like a lost cause too, if Corbyn keeps up his fence sitting. Scottish Independence is all but guaranteed. The Universal Credit will be scrapped within two years as so many people move on it through redundancy and low pay that the system melts down. The army spends most of the time in the UK to suppress dissent, when not stationed in at the new border in Ireland, meaning the new Super Garrisons get a lot use. We all get that bit thinner as the price of food goes up, potentially saving the NHS millions in obesity related disease.

Sorry, can't think of anything particularly cheery. The french will be happy though. More business flown over from London and more influence in the EU.

hazell42 · 28/01/2019 11:52

Well, we didn't vote for it.
You apparently did.
So why don't you tell us what the positives are?
