To find this message from DP a complete turn off

NotABirthdayTreat · 21/01/2019 19:02

DP sent me a message earlier ‘ are you going to dress sexy tonight?’

I’m in jeans & a jumper waiting for him to come home. I’ll be cooking dinner (again) & he’ll be coming in in his sports kit.

AIBU to find it a turn off ?

YANBU.

Send him the same message. It would be interesting to see what his answer is.

Batteriesallgone · 21/01/2019 19:05

That’s a bit odd. My instinctive reply would be ‘why, where are we going?’ Because I would assume I’d forgotten

Racecardriver · 21/01/2019 19:06

Send him a link to a very expensive sexy dress

EggysMom · 21/01/2019 19:07

"Was that message meant for me or your girlfriend?"
or
"No, you can dress yourself"

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends · 21/01/2019 19:08

'Why, who's coming over?'

BlueUggs · 21/01/2019 19:09

My ex used to do this. I hated it.
Felt like a right twat doing the washing up dressed up! He couldn't understand why my sex drive dried up!

HollowTalk · 21/01/2019 19:09

I think he needs to try a bit harder himself - coming home late after treating himself to some time to himself and expecting dinner to be cooked for him isn't exactly a turn on!

PooleySpooley · 21/01/2019 19:10

My DH did this the other week I can’t remember what he said but it was filthy and I was like 🙄

00100001 · 21/01/2019 19:10

"I will if you will"

FuckOffMeadowSoprano · 21/01/2019 19:11

They can be fucking idiots sometimes can't they.

sackrifice · 21/01/2019 19:11

'no idea. Are you?'

WhoKnewBeefStew · 21/01/2019 19:11

Why? Are we going out? You’ll need to get changed if that’s the case

ShalomJackie · 21/01/2019 19:12

Whatever I wear I am sexy and you think I need to be wearing something specific to be sexy you are clearly with the wrong person! should be the response

findingmyfeet12 · 21/01/2019 19:13

I can't imagine my dh ever sending me a message like that! I think it would make me suspicious that something wasn't right!

howtobehuman · 21/01/2019 19:13

Text back 'you'll just have to wait and see 😘' then he can... see... you, in your jumper and jeans - or preferably something even less sexy if you have anything?

Batteriesallgone · 21/01/2019 19:18

I can’t imagine DH using this as a way to ‘seduce’ me tbh.

He’d be more direct - thinking about you lots today, fancy a shag tonight? - type thing.

Lexilooo · 21/01/2019 19:19

Reply "do you find cardigans sexy?"

NotABirthdayTreat · 21/01/2019 19:19

You’ve all made me smile & I am 100% sure we are not going out.
Going to root through the wardrobe for the most unsexy outfit.
It just made me feel a bit shit. Love me , love my Monday night comfy clothes

MsVestibule · 21/01/2019 19:21

Does he normally send messages like this? I'd fall over with shock if DH did this Grin. Nothing wrong with it all if that's the way a couple communication but I absolutely wouldn't find it a turn on.

Mrskeats · 21/01/2019 19:21

I would hate that because it’s incorrect. It should say ‘sexily’.
Plus it’s sexist bollocks.

PickAChew · 21/01/2019 19:22

I always dress sexy, darling.

oohyoudevilyou · 21/01/2019 19:24

Borrow one of your mum's outfits, a spritz of her perfume and wear her most disapproving expression: That'll have him withering on the vine (unless he has a thing for your mum....)

Aquamarine1029 · 21/01/2019 19:25

I'd ask if he's going to come home and make dinner, do the laundry and run the Hoover. Honestly, what a bellend. Why are you with a twat like this?

runwithme · 21/01/2019 19:26

My first thought would be that someone's gotten hold of his phone. A really funny friend Hmm

Pk37 · 21/01/2019 19:27

This makes me sad .. your Monday night comfy clothes are my every day clothes !Blush
