Looking for opinions please!

Is it ever OK for a 16yr old boy (man?) to share a room with an 11yr old girl?

They are not blood relatives.

LuckyLou7 · 20/01/2019 22:44

Absolutely not. Siblings, yes, but unrelated teenage boy and preteen girl? Never.

BarbarianMum · 20/01/2019 22:45

Yes a few. Like when hiding from the Nazis fi. Not generally unless brother and sister on holiday.

No not ok.

agnurse · 20/01/2019 22:58

Even siblings of the opposite sex shouldn't be sharing a room at that age.

whiteworld · 20/01/2019 23:00

No, I would not be happy with my 11yo dd sharing with a 16yo boy.

Disquieted1 · 20/01/2019 23:00

Unanimous. No, not on.

newnameforthis7 · 20/01/2019 23:00

There must be an alternative, someone sharing with same sex parent, even friend, or use living room. Very unwise

ILoveChristmasLights · 20/01/2019 23:01

A little detail might help.

wishuponarainbow · 20/01/2019 23:01

Thanks for all of your response, you have helped clarify that AIBU

Unfortunately I have just been made aware that this has happened when my DD has been with my EX husband at the weekend.

He has taken her to stay at his girlfriends house and when there she has had to share a room with his girlfriends 16 yr old son.

This is not the first time it has happened and I have told him this i am unwilling to allow it to happen again. This has led to all sorts of abuse tonight from my EXhusband and his partner.
