Following on from a similar thread asking for examples of companies that give bad customer service... I can name about 5 off the top of my head. TK Maxx, River Island, JD Sports, Debenhams, John motherfuckin Lewis, Cath Kidston, Schuh

The best -

Selfridges
Nando's
McDonald's (staff are usually rude where I am but the customer service team over the phone are brilliant).
Dorothy Perkins
JoJo Mama Bebe

Waitrose seem to be helpful, at least locally - no idea elsewhere.

Twinnings Tea!

I drink Everyday Tea & one box I opened didn’t smell or taste right. More floral....anyway, contacted them & they asked me to send the box & samples (they provided an envelope), 2 weeks later I recieved a letter saying the mix of leaves had been wrong & they apologised & sent me £20 worth of Twinnings vouchers!

Fantastic customer service!

nuttyknitter · 15/12/2018 22:02

The Book People. They made a mistake with my original order but were amazingly efficient in putting it right.

Solongtoshort · 15/12/2018 22:10

This might sound mad but my local Home Bargains. I always see them helping customers taking shopping to the car, till point, laughing and being welcoming in general. Some times it's the small things that get me.

Waddsup12 · 15/12/2018 22:12

Bawbags.

Pressie hasn't turned up, told them, sending a replacement signed for 1st thing Monday. Very pleased with them.

CupsAndPentacles · 15/12/2018 22:12

You won't have heard of this company in the UK, but Max Benjamin
omg, I complained that a candle didn't have the strong scent I was hoping it'd have and he said maybe the diffuser would have been a better choice and he got a courier to bring me a diffuser that afternoon! I opened the front door and there was a reed scent diffuser in grapefruit.

I was blown away.

KathrynOfArrogance · 15/12/2018 22:16

Warburtons.
I emailed them coz my hot dog buns had some stray raisins in
They sent me £10 in vouchers
Pretty sweet considering I was just raisin an issue

I’ll disagree and nominate to maxx for excellent service.
A pair of ankle strap shoes snapped after a few weeks’ wear and I didn’t have the receipt so was expecting an argument when I took them back.
Instead, the shop assistant took a lot of trouble to find out exactly what they had cost - I only knew to within £5 or so- so they could refund me the correct sum.
This was years ago but still sticks in my mind.

Larasshadow · 15/12/2018 22:17

Lately for me

Best is banter cards, they missed part of my order and when I contacted them they posted the missing item straight away along with a little something to say sorry.

Worst is FreePrints, first they sent me the wrong photos so who knows where mine ended up. They took ages to send a replacement and when they arrived they were badly printed, awful quality. Still trying to get my photos printed properly (other orders from them have been great in the past). They answer their Twitter reasonably quickly but not their emails.

RayRayBidet · 15/12/2018 22:19

Waitrose where I used to live was brilliant. The staff were so friendly and kind.
My DD1 had a massive tantrum one day and was literally rolling on the floor screaming. She did this quite often when a toddler but normally at home. I was mortified but really needed to buy something so I had to wait for her to stop. Customers were quite rude, tutting and eye rolling etc.
Anyway she did stop and we did the shopping as quickly as possible. As I was leaving 2 staff members came up to me and said "you did so well staying calm. You handled it just right" they asked if I was OK and were just so kind, offered me a coffee and fussed over DD. Felt like super mum when I left!

Dairyqueen2 · 15/12/2018 22:19

Surprisingly, Nike. They exchanged a pair of football boots my son had played a muddy match in because he decided they were the wrong size. Cute-sounding Irish call centre workers too Smile

McT123 · 15/12/2018 22:20

I have always had fantastic service from John Lewis. I always buy computers from them because they have a 2 year guarantee and are always very hlpful when things go wrong,

countrybunny · 15/12/2018 22:20

Worst is snapfish, best is marks and Spencer's

babysharkah · 15/12/2018 22:22

Waitrose and John Lewis - can't fault them.

Amazon - fuck off to the far side of fuckery.

Judeeee · 15/12/2018 22:22

Ocado
AO.com
Pets Corner
Boxfit

FrankieChips · 15/12/2018 22:23

Marks & Spencer. I love going to my local one. The staff are lovely. It’s like chatting to friends.

Judeeee · 15/12/2018 22:23

Forgot to mention M&S

BottleOfJameson · 15/12/2018 22:23

John Lewis

Mr Wolf (random small toy shop - nowhere near me, which has a small online section)

Beansprout30 · 15/12/2018 22:24

Hsbc - they messed up my account switch but communication from their customer service team was spot on. Called me back exactly when they said they would with updates which is rare in my experience. Sorted the issue and gave me £50 for the inconvenience

Travisandthemonkey · 15/12/2018 22:26

Millets for some strange reason. Absolutely brilliant
Really helped me out and they did not have to

JaimeLannister · 15/12/2018 22:26

Vistaprint.

My order was lost by royal mail but Vistaprint replaced it, added extras and delivered it in two days, all free and with no hassle.

CloserIAm2Fine · 15/12/2018 22:27

Argos have really upped their game lately it seems. Ordered something, got same day delivery with a 4 hour time slot. On another occasion I ordered a bulky item that took 2 delivery people, they carried it through to my kitchen and whipped the packaging off in seconds, I’d anticipated having to inch it through the house myself and then battle with packaging.

Travisandthemonkey · 15/12/2018 22:27

And you may slag off amazon. But really their customer service is amazing.

riviana · 15/12/2018 22:28

Appliances Online: an Australian company that sells, obviously, electrical appliances online. Good website with all dimensions of appliances, better prices than say, Harvey Norman (don't touch with a barge pole) or Bing Lee. Next day delivery at a time to suit the purchaser, install new appliances, take away old ones plus all packing.

Customer service couldn't be more helpful or pleasant when I had to change delivery days a couple of times. Cannot speak highly enough of them.

Judeeee · 15/12/2018 22:30

Another vote for Argos. Very efficient, friendly service both instore and deliveries.
