Following on from a similar thread asking for examples of companies that give bad customer service... I can name about 5 off the top of my head. TK Maxx, River Island, JD Sports, Debenhams, John motherfuckin Lewis, Cath Kidston, Schuh

The best -

Selfridges
Nando's
McDonald's (staff are usually rude where I am but the customer service team over the phone are brilliant).
Dorothy Perkins
JoJo Mama Bebe

Amazon

Purchased a mobile phone, within a few months was faulty, returned it expecting them to repair it,they sent it back to me untouched, with a full refund.
Bought a baking stone for the oven. Used it many times but found it to be useless. Returned it and got a full refund two days later.

John Lewis

Purchased a kitchenaid stand mixer. Was faulty so they fixed it. Was still faulty so they refunded me. Then purchased a KMix and had problems with that, too. Took that back to the shop and was given a new one.

Lakeland

Bought a roasting pan. It warped. Went back to shop they exchanged it. New pan warped as well. By this time had lost my receipt. Emailed Lakeland and they send me vouchers for the value of the pan and told me not to bother sending it back.

Babi Pur, they dispatch items super quickly and sort out any issues without quibble
I ordered toys on Christmas Day (spending little one's Christmas money) and they arrived on 27th via Royal Mail!

pilates · 31/12/2018 10:43

Jo Malone

anitagreen · 31/12/2018 10:58

Argos was great they messed me around with a delivery time for my cooker so I complained they said they had no other times and that was that, I emailed the CEO and received a same day delivery time and a £30 voucher.

Nyx · 31/12/2018 11:08

EE customer service is really good, they are easy to contact and always know what they're talking about. I'd recommend them to anyone.

winsinbin · 31/12/2018 11:31

Timpsons are always great. Their staff are so well trained and are always helpful.

And if anyone in the Brighton area is looking for a handyman/decorator try Ashley (on FB as ibrightonhomeshandyman ). I had a very small but urgent job crop up in the afternoon of the Friday before Christmas. Everyone else I rang said they couldn’t come out until january but even though I’d never used him before Ashley came out that evening (having already done a days work). He was friendly, efficient and very reasonably priced.

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 31/12/2018 11:37

Amazon - had a couple of issues with deliveries, sent me out replacements and told me to keep the originals if they turned up and added a month onto my Prime membership for the inconvenience each time.

Riverford Organics - very prompt responses to queries .

Curry's is the worst as far as I'm concerned. Had an issue with a TV they sold me a few years ago - spent hours getting them to refund me. After they eventually agreed (threatened them with legal action) I vowed never to use them again and I haven't.

Am in Meadowhall I have been trying to buy makeup for my Dds birthday. Very impressed with Urban Decay.. helpful, friendly, smiley, efficient. So much better then the sales assistants in Debenhams and House of Fraser who didn't even pause their conversation to acknowledge my existence

ellendegeneres · 31/12/2018 11:54

Dfs (honest to god, they were just amazing)
Dunelm
Sainsbury’s every time (local one is just brilliant and staff are lovely)
Costa
Asda have actually been pretty good too, refunding for items without having returned them yet
Sky have been brilliant too

helpandencourqge · 31/12/2018 12:08

IKEA - so patient and alway accept returns
Appliances Online (mentioned upthread)
Amazon
DHL
John Lewis - year ago I did an online order for Christmas and one set of playmobile was missing. No questions, much apologising from them and they couriered a replacement which arrived within 36 hours - from the UK to Australia.....I had assumed it wouldn’t arrive in time and had not even asked for the expedited delivery.

helpandencourqge · 31/12/2018 12:10

Also Mountain Warehouse

GreatWesternValkyrie · 31/12/2018 12:12

Dune - I ordered two bags in their sale, then found they’d been further reduced a day later (by another 20%). I called them as I was a bit frustrated to see that and they immediately offered to refund the difference and then refunded the delivery charge as well.

I’ve always had exceptionally good customer service from John Lewis when I’ve had a problem with a product.

beanaseireann · 31/12/2018 14:51

HazelBite re M&S Oxford St :
"....we might do but I really can't be bothered to look for it"

I'm gobsmacked.
I hope you got a manager on his/her case !

CarolDanvers · 31/12/2018 14:55

4160 Tuesdays. I ordered a small bottle of perfume from them and they sent me the biggest that cost more than twice as much, because they'd run out of smaller ones plus a load of samples, same price.

Micro scooters. I ordered one, it squeaked, I rang them, they sent another out straight away, no questions asked and took the old one back at the same time.

Amazon are always good too. I know that's not popular but they replace or return with no questions every time I ring them with a problem.

HandsOffMyRights · 31/12/2018 15:01

IKEA

In contrast H&M returns not so great!

helpandencourqge · 31/12/2018 17:25

Also J Crew. Exceptionally good with returns and customer service.

kazillionaire · 31/12/2018 21:57

Mine is the entertainer, they sent the wrong item out and after a quick phone call have sent the correct item and said to keep the other toy or give it to a childrens charity, fabulous I think

Accountant222 · 31/12/2018 22:38

Specsavers best customer service.

HSBC fraud department worse,

cricketmum84 · 31/12/2018 23:03

Gear 4 music.

I ordered a guitar for teen son that came with a case and strap. Opened it the day before to check all was present and correct and there was no bag or strap. Phoned customer services in a fluster and explained it was a birthday present for the next day. Lovely lad told me he would courier it as an urgent parcel. It came before DS had even got out of bed the following day!!

ChocolateCovered · 31/12/2018 23:05

Whitards in store, the staff at least in the shop near me are always brilliantly helpful and put up with random questions from DD.

ArsenicNLace · 31/12/2018 23:06

AO.com. - Fantastic customer service. Can't fault them. Real common sense approach.
First Direct - as above.
Monsoon. Gave a full refund on a dress bought for a wedding after it was dry cleaned and all the seams bleached white (dress was purple). Didn't try and argue it was the dry cleaners fault which I expected and also gave a full refund on the matching jacket (bought separately) even though I hadn't had that cleaned and was in effect still perfect.

greendale17 · 31/12/2018 23:10

Mothercare my local store is excellent, clean tidy and lovely staff.

Lakeland, M&S for their customer service too

Starbucks have always brilliant about dealing with issues.

I’ve recently had fantastic customer service from Closet London. They sent me a dress in the wrong size and they couldn’t have been more apologetic. The woman tripped over herself to sort it out.

TheBigBangRocks · 31/12/2018 23:14

Amazon, amazing service and choice and when there's a rare problem they sort quickly. They are my go to online shopping place.
