Following on from a similar thread asking for examples of companies that give bad customer service... I can name about 5 off the top of my head. TK Maxx, River Island, JD Sports, Debenhams, John motherfuckin Lewis, Cath Kidston, Schuh

The best -

Selfridges
Nando's
McDonald's (staff are usually rude where I am but the customer service team over the phone are brilliant).
Dorothy Perkins
JoJo Mama Bebe

Dualit Toasters
Canadian Affair

Local Clark’s shop who gave me a refund this morning despite me being outside the 28 day return (I’ve been too ill to get there).

Amazon customer service are very helpful.

I bought a new cooker this year from ao.com and it was delivered exactly on time, fitted expertly and quickly, and my old cooker removed. I was extremely pleased.

I've banked with First Direct for over 20 years, and their customer service is fabulous.

Lakeland have always been amazing for me customer service wise.
Had a parcel with some dry yeast that had burst open over some of the other items, the lady on the phone was so helpful and proactive I really appreciated it.

Lufthansa.

They lost my check-in bag at Frankfurt, which led to me missing my second leg due to some mishap in how they decided to handle it.

Booked me on the next flight with a free upgrade, which meant I could still make my appointment, and had my missing bag sent straight to my hotel after locating it and, apparently, managing to have it routed to my destination somehow.

Richer Sounds- exceptional.

Amazon - their customer service has been stellar for me.

A local watch repairers (won't name but in SW London) but ridiculously good. Do stuff for nothing sometimes!

Majestic Wines!

The staff in the lighting department in Fenwicks in Canterbury.

Boden have worked very hard to put right multiple cock ups. Including an apology email from their CX on a Sunday afternoon. Nationwide have also resolved problems very quickly. Barclays once did something amazing for me which would be very outing to explain in detail but I'll never move my account as a result. I'd really recommend Bulb's service. Oh and Sofitel too.

The worst have been John Lewis (multiple times), First Direct and Amazon. Plus Soak and Sleep. Strangely all companies who generally get good reviews.

My Hermes delivery guy is fantastic too. I note that in the bad service thread a few delivery companies were named but my local guy is ace.

Legoland Windsor.
Waterstones - expired gift card that they still honoured
Sky - every year we get a fab deal out of them without fail
My postman 😁

Amazon & Tesco have been great with me.

FitBit were awful. After almost a week back and forth to diagnose the problem they offered me a replacement free of charge (online chat), then emailed to say sorry we were wrong we can only offer you a discount. Felt that was underhand.

Pandasarecute · 31/12/2018 23:55

Liz Earle, parcel had been left in rain by courier and it had disintegrated meaning that the cloths were wet. As it was for a gift I phoned them making it clear I blamed the courier not them- they lady offered to replace the lot which wasn't necessary but she quickly dispatched new cloths.

Also Lakeland, always great service if there's any issue

Worst:

Furniture Village. They completely messed us around and damaged our furniture when assembling it for us. Had to chase for months to get any resolution.

Best:

Toolstation: really friendly, knowledgeable staff in my local branch.

Amazon: always prompt sorting out any issues. Rang them at 3am the other morning after a delivery driver threw their parcels over my back gate. Really helpful sorting it and have always previously replaced things without question.

The Cotswold Company: needed to replace furniture quickly, ordered Thursday afternoon, furniture arrived Friday morning and they were really helpful sorting payment over phone. Furniture is lovely quality.

Lufthansa Lost and Found at Frankfurt airport.

I left my leather jacket on a plane whilst transiting through Frankfurt. They located it, gave me clear instructions where to pick it up when I was next in the airport and posted it to me in 2 weeks when I was unable to. Very responsive on email and perfect English.
