Mine was Mr Frosty. Far too messy! My mum bought it for my 21st birthday as I'd gone on about it so much Smile

ScreamingValenta · 14/12/2018 23:55

I always wanted a Victorian-style dolls' house - the sort with a proper staircase and lots of tiny details. Far too £££ for my parents' budget, so I never got one.

DropZoneOne · 14/12/2018 23:55

Mine was Mr Frosty too! Never got it though

Cavort · 14/12/2018 23:56

An 'A la carte' kitchen. Apparently I wanted a bike until the week before Chrustmas and then changed my mind. My 6 year old self was devastated Xmas Grin

Snowydaysaregreat · 14/12/2018 23:56

I saw the title and first thought... Mr frosty, the same as yours.
My mum swore the other day that I got one.. I 💯 did not.. I'm. Mid 30s and I still Often think of it lol

I had a mr frosty - you honestly didn't miss much it was terrible!!!!

Stufftheturkeysholewithholly · 14/12/2018 23:56

Another one who did not get Mr Frosty :(

midgwit · 14/12/2018 23:57

Also Mr Frosty! I still bring it up to my parents now. I think this must be most common 'wanted but never got' present for people of a certain age as most people I've had this conversation with have said Mr Frosty too.

chunkyjumper · 14/12/2018 23:58

To be fair, Mr Frosty is probably far less messy than all the slime nonsense kids want nowadays!

I got a Mr Frosty - it was hugely disappointing, and my first lesson in not believing the TV adverts!
Always wanted a Big Yellow Teapot - I still live in hope I’ll get one Grin

dementedpixie · 14/12/2018 23:59

JustABetterPlayer · 15/12/2018 00:00

I wanted Santa to bring me a K98 at around 12-13, my unloving father brought me cheap .22 to learn with... sensible, but bastard 😄

rose789 · 15/12/2018 00:00

In our house Santa filled stockings, and family puts gifts under the tree.
It meant we only ever asked Santa for things small enough to fit in our stockings, where as we asked our parents for big gifts, like bikes or skins or such.
It meant Santa always nailed it, and we didn't pressure our parents when we knew there wasnt much money
It also meant Grandparents actually got the thanks for all the amazing things they picked out and bought, rather than attribute it all to the Big Guy.

rainbowquack · 15/12/2018 00:03

NoFucksImAQueen · 15/12/2018 00:03

a turtle. they wrote me a letter saying they were hibernating so santa couldn't get one

TracyBeakerSoChristmas · 15/12/2018 00:04

At the age of 4 I wanted a single red pram with a tray underneath from the Freemans catalogue.
I got a blue twin pram with no tray from the Freemans catalogue.
Result I made sure as a parent that DD at the age of 4 got the pram she requested.
