Mine was Mr Frosty. Far too messy! My mum bought it for my 21st birthday as I'd gone on about it so much Smile

I asked for the a la carte kitchen and the mr frosty never got them but had lovely presents in their place
However (warning pity party) I asked for a camera and clothes when I was 11, my younger brother was 7. I helped my Mam "set up santa" for him and went to bed excited being part if it. I got up with my brother at 6am leaving my parents sleeping to find not one present under the tree for me. My brother had got a bike, games console and lego. I've genuinely never been so heart broken. I wasn't even considered. I'll never allow my children to feel that crushing disappointment. What would a parent be thinking getting absolutely nothing for their 11 year old dc at Christmas!

chunkyjumper · 15/12/2018 00:52

Looked like that.....

Really @OkPedro ? That's awful.... my eldest is 14 and obviously doesn't believe but he's so good at keeping it going for my younger ones!

Mr frosty (of course)
Girl’s world

BBTHREE76 · 15/12/2018 01:06

Mine was also Mr Frosty 🤣🤣🤣

Mari50 · 15/12/2018 01:10

Mr frosty.
Bought one for my dd, realised there is nothing less fun than hand grinding ice. All my mum has to do was buy it for me, let me play with it once and I’d never have looked at it again. At least that’s how it planned out with dd

Mari50 · 15/12/2018 01:11

Oh yeah, and a harp and a pony but I’m not sure I actually expected them to materialise anyway....

Evidencebased · 15/12/2018 01:14

Still waiting for the pony...
Maybe this year..

MazDazzle · 15/12/2018 01:14

An A La Carte Kitchen. I really did believe I’d be able to make my Dad sausage roll and beans! Didn’t get it and was heartbroken and angry.

I had a big yellow teapot as a kid, but I’m not sure what happened to it. I bought one years ago from eBay for £40 for my kids to play with!

OkPedro · 15/12/2018 01:20

chunkyjumper unfortunately very true. My Mam obviously knew I didn't believe in Santa anymore but surely that shouldn't have meant I got nothing. I sound like a child now haha but I'll never forget that feeling

chocolatebox1 · 15/12/2018 01:27

An older brother....that was a perfectly reasonable request!
A little tykes car or a noddy car
A big yellow teapot that was a miniature house I think??
Apparently yellow was my favourite colour!

OkPedro · 15/12/2018 01:42

chocolate an older brother?! Pmsl

Seren85 · 15/12/2018 01:47

Much like everyone else a Mr Frosty. Bought myself one later and they are crap but still! Also a Doodle Bear. My parents thought I was a bit old for one so didn't get it, it comes up in jokes even now.

jessstan2 · 15/12/2018 01:54

When I was a little girl I wanted a small train set. I'd talked about it enough so parents knew.

When I woke up on Christmas morning (actually I think it was my birthday but same difference), my mum was sitting in a chair by my bed with a big doll on her lap, that 'talked'. Bah!

Andromeida59 · 15/12/2018 04:47

I remember wanting a Mickey Mouse watch and a Blankety Blank cheque book and pen. Never had either Hmm. I did have a yellow teapot though.

Greyeye · 15/12/2018 05:13

A Girls World
A Rocking Horse
A Tiny Tears
A Cabbage Patch Doll

My mother didn't like buying me "toys that everyone else has", for some reason, so most of my presents were slightly odd!

I always liked what I got, though.

Groovee · 15/12/2018 05:20

A speak and spell.

SueGeneris · 15/12/2018 05:31

One hundred pairs of gold clicky shoes
One hundred pairs of silver clicky shoes
One hundred pairs of light blue clicky shoes

God knows what 7 year old me thought I was going to do with all those.

My sister really really wanted Kong Man.

WhatCanBrownBearSee · 15/12/2018 05:36

Mr Frosty here too, and the a la cart kitchen
I’m sure I had all sorts of lovely things, but those two stick in my mind as the ones that got away

MaidenMotherCrone · 15/12/2018 06:08

A Shaker Maker .....

HerRoyalNotness · 15/12/2018 06:19

I’ve just looked up the big yellow teapot, it’s amazing! Quite a few on eBay. Might have to get one sent to MIL to send over for DD

Crackedvase · 15/12/2018 07:55

I got a Mr Frosty (joyful, totally joyful) but when I was 9 I rhymed on and on for a sllip'n'slide. I cut a picture of it out of Kays catalog and everything.
I woke up to a Barbie hair wash salon Xmas Sad

My 9 year old self didn't recognise that a stone yard was not the place to be sliding down slippery wet plastic. I was so heartbroken. I bought one for my kids a few summers ago and it was just as amazing as I knew it would be lol

Gilead · 15/12/2018 07:57

Lego. A friend bought me some for my 21st. I was very happy!

eatingtomuch · 15/12/2018 07:59

Ha ha was going to say Mr Frosty, but also wanted a cabbage patch doll. My mum refused to buy it because it was ugly!!

Lollypop27 · 15/12/2018 08:00

A cabbage patch doll
A la carte kitchen
Bike
Fimo
Polly pocket

I more devastated that I never got one of those doll bottles where the milk and orange juice didn’t disappear when you fed the doll. I’m still bitter about that. Our next door neighbours children both had one and they used to go to the sideboard to fill it up. I was convinced that they had a special machine in there that filled them up!
