To those whose DP's snore, how do you sleep?

How do you work around the issue and sleep? My lovely DP snores terribly and I'm the lightest sleeper. I'd just like to know how others try and solve the issue if you have it?

I move into the spare room on a bad night

Datedandold · 08/12/2018 22:16

On the sofa, downstairs!

DaveyouareanuttertwatDave · 08/12/2018 22:17

Ear plugs!

gottachangethename1 · 08/12/2018 22:17

Watching with interest. I wear earphones with white noise playing when it’s really bad, have even resorted to sleeping pills so I can sleep through it. When dd was away at Uni for 3 years, I regularly slept in her bed.

MustDust · 08/12/2018 22:17

Earplugs.

sproutsandparsnips · 08/12/2018 22:17

Spare room!
Also over the years I've become more tolerant.

Sugarhunnyicedtea · 08/12/2018 22:17

He sleeps downstairs

FooFightersFan · 08/12/2018 22:17

I'm OK if I'm already asleep, if I'm awake in the early hours I've had it.

PrincessConsuelaBananahamm0ck · 08/12/2018 22:19

Ear plugs. Good ones. I now find it very hard to fall asleep without them though, even if I'm travelling with work and on my own in a hotel room. Feels weird without them in my ears.

Hassled · 08/12/2018 22:20

I sleep really well in a completely different room. It took until a DC moved out for us to have a spare room - prior to that I was a sleep deprived resentful exhausted mess.

Magicpaintbrush · 08/12/2018 22:20

Spare room.

Allthewaves · 08/12/2018 22:21

I wear earplugs BUT I have some sympathy as if developed a condition which makes me snore like a pig so I now wake my husband. It's totally soul destroying for husband to wake me constantly through the night and moan constantly during the day as I can't do anything about it - makes me feel crap.

TowerRingInferno · 08/12/2018 22:22

Spare room.

Luckily he works away a lot.

ArabellaUmbrella · 08/12/2018 22:23

Spare room. Also he works away a lot. I can't share my bed these days, it is so blissful to have a bed to myself .

redexpat · 08/12/2018 22:24
