To ask how old you were when you were last asked for ID to prove your age?

I am in my early thirties and yesterday I got asked for ID when purchasing a bottle of wine. I had my hair tied back and no make up on so I know in those instances I can look quite young.

I told my partner about it and he thought it was hilarious, and it made me wonder how old other people have been when they have been asked for ID?

32, about 5 days ago.

33, do I win?

40 but the man had cataracts. I work in a shop snd the oldest I've IDd was about 35. Most turn out to be late 20s/early 30s with the new think 25 policy

I'm 37 and 3 months and was ID'd last winter in The Asda buying Baileys. The worst part was that I had no ID on me and had to do the walk of the shame from the tills empty-handed because she refused to accept my cries of "but I'm thirty bleeding six". DS1 was with me and howled laughing at the thought that I was anything but an elderly lady.

Many moons ago - 27 when buying fags when the age limit was 16!

A few months back, I'm 36 and don't think I look particularly young, got plenty of grey hairs!!!

I was 42. I had my hair up and big sunglasses on, so certain waiter could not judge from half a face.

40, a couple of months ago.
I looked like a tramp at the time normal for me these days

36. 3 years ago. I don't wear makeup either but now I wonder if I will ever be asked again?

I was 35 when I was asked if I were over sixteen. Recently my sister was asked for ID when buying alcohol and she is 48. I suspect she might win the thread.

@Idontbelieveinthemoon - ah the walk of shame! I had to do it once when I sent my driving license off after moving and I had no other ID I was 29!

I have had it loads recently, you would also think if you have a child in tow in 95% of cases you will be over 18?

In my fifties - tends to be a checkout joke these days.
I'm short. I remember getting half price fares on the bus long after I was entitled to them

I’m 31 and still get ID’d but only if I’m on my own, which I find strange. My husband and most of my friends look around their actual age so I guess people just assume I’m old enough if I’m with them? Always get asked if I’m alone though, and people are always surprised that I’m over 30!

I'm 37 and still get asked in Tesco's several times a year.

I'm quite sad it's stopped really.

37 - last year.

Age 35, I'm now 38 and was in the US this year....there was a big sign saying if you looked younger than 40 then you would be i'd, the shop assistant looked at me and didn't ask . Worst thing was I had my id ready so I sheepishly put it away again.

About a year ago at 26/27. It doesn't happen often though because I:
A: look haggard
And
B: live in a small town where everyone knows everyone.

Today, I'm 23 and had a bit of a rough day after a doctor's appointment. Had no makeup and hair in a messy bun, got ID'd for a can of energy drink...
