How many do you have and what are the age gaps like? Would you want more and why?

Have 2
2.5 year age gap
Same sex
No desire for any more at all. I’d always thought I would want 3, that was before I had any though.

VileyRose · 17/05/2018 19:21

Ds 14
Dd1 12
Dd2 5
Dd3 1

Not sure if I will have another.

SprogletsMum · 17/05/2018 19:22

I've got 4 they're 9, 6, 3, 1 and bloody hard work. I definitely won't be having any more.

AprilShowers16 · 17/05/2018 19:22

I always thought i wanted four, I sort of still do in theory but now I have two I’m not sure how I’d survive two more!

Elementtree · 17/05/2018 19:23

4? How many do you currently have op?

I have three. 10, 8 & 4. All adored but you couldn't pay me to have another Grin

MrsCD67 · 17/05/2018 19:23

@vileyrose wow! What's it like having kids with several years between them? Do they get along better because of it do you think?

I have two, with a 19 month age gap (almost 3 and 4.5 years old). I wanted 3 but dp doesn't. Just got to suck it up really. Four would be lovely but would be simply far too expensive.

theboud · 17/05/2018 19:24

I wanted 4.

Then I had one.

We’ve got 2 and are totally done Grin

Loubymoo27 · 17/05/2018 19:25

Wanted 2 but after having 1 decided I was never doing it again!!!!

OliveOrTwist · 17/05/2018 19:25

If money were no object we'd like 4. Realisically it's more likely to be 2 or 3. We have 0 currently, expecting our 1st in September

Fruitcorner123 · 17/05/2018 19:26

i thought i wanted 4 and so did DH. we've just had number 3. They are 7, 5, 8 months not sure whether we will have 4 now.

0lgaDaPolga · 17/05/2018 19:27

I have one (11 months) and I’m expecting another. There will be an 18 month age gap. It’s too early to know the sex but I’ll be happy either way and will definitely be done with 2. Dh would ideally like more but I definitely don’t. I’d be spread too thinly and wouldn’t be happy with dividing my attention between more than 2

BendydickCuminsnatch · 17/05/2018 19:27

Our second is 6 months old. I reeeeeeally want at least 3 in theory but this is definitely the easy bit - he’s almost on the move already and I’m dreading it! DS is almost 3 and out of the toddler phase... I’ve been in baby bliss and now shit is about to get real with the whole threenager thing, I can sense it 😄 SO we’ll see how having a child and a toddler goes first... but I will be absolutely bereft when I no longer have a baby in the house 😭 and I dream of a massive family when the kids are all teens/grown up.

Pfftlife · 17/05/2018 19:28

I've got 2 with 4 year age gap, 15 and 11, . That's more than enough for me. I love watching them grow up and really enjoy their company.

They are at completely different stages in life so don't hang out but get along well when I'm not around 😐 it's 4 years between my sister and I and were very close

CaveMaman · 17/05/2018 19:29

We can only afford one. I'd love to give him a brother or sister, but most of our money already goes on his nursery fees and I know we'll need wrap-around care before and after school when he goes, so even then, we wouldn't be able to afford it. Shame, but he has 5 lovely cousins he's close to and is very popular at nursery with the other kids.

feelingfedupnow · 17/05/2018 19:30

DS 6 (February)
DD 4 (July)
Exactly 17 months between them

Just had another DS who is 4 weeks (April)

We won't be having any more because I struggled with the pregnancy.

Wallywobbles · 17/05/2018 19:30

13,12,12,9

Wouldn't want any more babies but well trained kids are always welcome as long as they are smiley and like animals.

DaanSaaf · 17/05/2018 19:30

I wanted 4.

Then I had one.

We’ve got 2 and are totally done

I could have written this Grin

scrivette · 17/05/2018 19:30

Lots of people I know seem to have 4, including DH (3 with me).

WTFdidwedo · 17/05/2018 19:31

I used to want three until I had two!

VileyRose · 17/05/2018 19:31

I like having 4 because the big 2 are close and the smaller 2 have each other also. My eldest 2 are so helpful and it does make life so much easier. I don't ask them to help but they like too anyway. Only downside is they don't like to be quiet on an evening when I put the little ones to bed!

userabcname · 17/05/2018 19:31

I have 1 DS of 11 months.
I would ideally like 3 children, however due to a traumatic birth with DS I'm going to see how the second one goes and if that is similarly as awful I will stop there!

Givemethebiggestslice · 17/05/2018 19:32

Pregnant with my first.

Pregnancy has been horrid so likely to stick with the one!

dottyaboutstripes · 17/05/2018 19:33

We have 6
23
22
19
13
11
8
I'd have had more if I could. I'm too old now and quite frankly knackered!

bobstersmum · 17/05/2018 19:34

I've got just 3 and definitely not tempted to have more! It's hard work! They're 5, 4 and 12 months.
