To think this is unnecessarily bitchy?

Will try to keep brief!
Last Friday I went out with some work colleagues for drinks. Whilst out my colleague/friend bumped into her husband who was with his friends. I hit it off with one of the men he was with and we've been texting with an aim to meet up soon.
My colleague knew this and seemed very keen for us to meet. However yesterday colleague told me she'd seen this man I'm due to go out with as he's a mutual friend. She said quite casually ' I told mutual friend you've got 3 kids by 3 dad's and you've had a boob job'. I told her she's being bitchy and not to put ideas in this man's head. Why would you tell someone that?

How odd?! She's clearly got issues if she thinks that's an acceptable way to behave/talk about someone? Defo bitchy!

fussygalore118 · 22/02/2018 17:58

Is does seem bitchy and a bit mean... is it true? Its an odd thing to do really.....

Pengggwn · 22/02/2018 17:58

She sounds like an idiot.

Are those things the case, or is it an even weirder situation where she's made up things about you?

HonkyWonkWoman · 22/02/2018 17:59

Because she's a bitch!

fussygalore118 · 22/02/2018 17:59

Sorry just to add ypu obviously don't need to ssy if its true or not ... its just such a weird thing for a friend to do, even more weird if its lies!

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 22/02/2018 18:00

Shock do you even have to ask?!

InDubiousBattle · 22/02/2018 18:00

Do you have 3 dc by 3 different men and a boob job? Either way yes, she was b itchy.

NataliaOsipova · 22/02/2018 18:00

Why would you tell someone that?

Is what she said true? If it is, then she's being deliberately bitchy. If it's not true, then it's a rather bizarre idea of a joke.

Snowysky20009 · 22/02/2018 18:01

Bitch!!!

Bluntness100 · 22/02/2018 18:02

She's jealous for some reason and wanted to put him off. And she wanted to let you know she'd done it.

The question is why?

ilovesooty · 22/02/2018 18:02

You seem to know some peculiar people.

RollTopBath · 22/02/2018 18:03

Is it true? I think I’d forewarn a good friend too, to be honest. If it’s true and he doesn’t mind, then no harm done. If it’s true and it puts him off, it wasn’t meant to be. I would certainly hold a view about one of my boys courting someone with quite such a lively history.

If it’s untrue then, yes it’s unkind to say so.

FranticallyPeaceful · 22/02/2018 18:03

Seems like a weird overshare either way tbh. Even if things are true, who cares? So why has she said them? Strange indeed.

Pengggwn · 22/02/2018 18:05

RollTopBath

Wow. That really isn't your place and it's just bitchy gossip.

Peekaboo3 · 22/02/2018 18:08

Your 'friend' sounds like a jealous beatch!!

And @rolltopbath why would you feel the need to tell a friend?

Wouldn't want him to get caught up with a nasty single mum with kids by different men, and fake boobs eh?

Jesus fucking wept!

Knittedfairies · 22/02/2018 18:09

It doesn’t matter whether it’s true or not; it’s a bitchy thing to say.

MagicNumbers1234 · 22/02/2018 18:09

It isn't the behaviour of a true friend. It was a spiteful thing to do. I'd be keeping my distance from her.

Bluntness100 · 22/02/2018 18:09

Roll top bath, that's really judgemental and not in a good way. Why would you judge someone like that. She could be lovely.

DeathStare · 22/02/2018 18:09

Is it true? I think I’d forewarn a good friend too, to be honest

What do you mean forewarn ? Unless he truly believed she was a virgin or that she'd only ever slept with one man, then how many men she has kids with is absolutely none of his business. Similarly with the boob-job. Why is that any of his business? Or the friend's?

BrieAndChilli · 22/02/2018 18:11

It really does depend on how it was said, if she just came out with it to him exactly like you have put it in your post then she was either warning him to take it slowly or is just jealous.
It may however been more a long winded conversation about you (he was probs it fishing for info) and those are 2 of the things that came up so she was letting you know that she had told him/he had asked and she had told him etc

arethereanyleftatall · 22/02/2018 18:14

Wouldn't it only be bitchy if the implication is that there is anything wrong with having three kids to three dads and a boob job?

SundaySalon · 22/02/2018 18:16

I can’t imagine how the topic of the OPs boobs gets dropped into conversation? Her children, yes possibly. He would have had to ask a question about her boobs for the friend to then share the details? Confused

Jojoanna · 22/02/2018 18:16

It sounds very Judgy to me.

jelliebelly · 22/02/2018 18:17

If it’s true then what’s the problem?

BrieAndChilli · 22/02/2018 18:19

I can quite imagine a man commenting on a woman’s boobs!! If it’s quite an obvious boob job then he probably did ask!! I asked my husband about a woman from the gym he does a boot camp with as I went on a night out with her and she was super skinny with big boobs that looked fake and so I asked him and he said yes she had told everyone at boot camp she had a boob job. So I can fully imagine someone who is wanting to at some point in the future fondle those boobs asking about them!
