Last Friday I went out with some work colleagues for drinks. Whilst out my colleague/friend bumped into her husband who was with his friends. I hit it off with one of the men he was with and we've been texting with an aim to meet up soon.
My colleague knew this and seemed very keen for us to meet. However yesterday colleague told me she'd seen this man I'm due to go out with as he's a mutual friend. She said quite casually ' I told mutual friend you've got 3 kids by 3 dad's and you've had a boob job'. I told her she's being bitchy and not to put ideas in this man's head. Why would you tell someone that?

how does your colleague even know you have 3 kids by 3 different fathers? Let alone a boob job? how does that even come up in chat with a colleague in a work environment?

It sounds to me like she let her mouth run, realised her mistake and thought she'd warn you. 'Damage limitation'.

It's a bit weird and a bit creepy. To mention three kids? Relevant. To mention their paternity? Irrelevant. To mention plastic surgery? WTF

OP, maybe he asked her about you and she just told him what she knew, and yes if he was my friend I would probably tell him too but I can see why you are upset.

Yes it is definitely bitchy, and unnecessary. It’s private information, which is for you to tell when you deem fit. It’s not like you’ve entered into a relationship and been actively deceived him, you haven’t even been on one bloody date yet! She has an agenda, and not a pleasant one.

As to people suggesting that the OP having 3 children to different fathers or a boob job somehow reflecting her moral standing... well the world must be a very simplistic place in your eyes! Ridiculous. Not to mention depressing as hell seeing women referring to others as ‘sluts’.
