Before anyone says it Iโ€™m an absolute idiot for not buying from gumtree in the first place but ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„ I wanted a nice shiny new one!

For first baby we got loaned an ICandy as we thought we were only going to have the one dc.

Then got pregnant with dc2 and HAD to have a new pushchair!

We got an single to double as had two under 2 and eldest child not walking when dc2 came.

As Sodโ€™s law would have it, dc2 hated the buggy and refused to sit in it after 12 months.

The whole thing including cost us ยฃ1100 including car seat bits.

Iโ€™ve been trying to sell it in gumtree for ยฃ400 and not one enquiry apart from one cf who asked if he could borrow it๐Ÿค”

Iโ€™m going to have to give it away for next to nothing, arenโ€™t I?

eBay

Spartaca · 04/02/2018 19:40

Try ebaying it?

YellowMakesMeSmile · 04/02/2018 19:42

Not sure what you expect people to say. ยฃ1100 on a pushchair is madness, you can buy a car for that much. Of course people aren't going to want to pay hundreds for a used item like a pram so that you recoup most of your money.

Flomy · 04/02/2018 19:43

I sell stuff at our local baby sales.

You could always put it on ebay or ask friends to put adverts up in staff rooms.

There are also second hand baby shops that buy from you. I sold them a cot etc.

ceeveebee · 04/02/2018 19:44

Try Facebook marketplace or eBay?
Or local nearly new sales?
I sold some of mine in bits seperately eg the carrycots and the adapters and probably raised about ยฃ150 that way, and then sold the double pram for ยฃ200. We had it for 4 years though and it was very well used

ceeveebee · 04/02/2018 19:45

Oh I sold on Facebook to a local twin Mum so try twin groups if you can find one

Hellohellohowareyou · 04/02/2018 19:45

Iโ€™m sure there are fb selling pages purely for icandy prams, maybe try there?

mummmy2017 · 04/02/2018 19:45

Anyone who buys a ยฃ1100 pushchair is a mug...

We got cheap ones used and after 3 months get the next one, ยฃ100 max, love not being tied to something worth more than a car..

Oysterbabe · 04/02/2018 19:47

I think maybe you're asking for a bit too much. Try eBay first though.
We bought our buggy for ยฃ670 new and sold for ยฃ180.

Soubriquet · 04/02/2018 19:47

Facebook any baby groups

Then be prepared to haggle

TwinklyGiraffe · 04/02/2018 19:47

Oh must have a look at the Facebook ICandy page, didnโ€™t know there was such a thing!

Weโ€™ve just bought an icandy and itโ€™s beautiful! I didnโ€™t buy second hand as I was concerned about the cleanliness... so maybe try giving it a proper valet and putting down on the EBay advert that itโ€™s had a proper valet etc etc

wowbutter · 04/02/2018 19:48

I wouldn't pay more than ยฃ200 for it second hand.

You can sell it, just for less than you want to. It's only worth what someone will pay for it.

FayJay · 04/02/2018 19:49

I agree. Try eBaying it. If you arrange a courier youโ€™ll be able to appeal to more people. Iโ€™ve had a quick look at completed listings for icandy travel systems and a few in good nick have gone for ยฃ400 +. Lots going for about ยฃ250 though.

greendale17 · 04/02/2018 19:49

eBay or icandy Facebook page

ruleshelpcontrolthefun · 04/02/2018 19:49

Spending ยฃ400 on a 2nd hand, out of warranty pushchair would be stupid. It could break tomorrow and there would be no comeback.

namechangew4nker · 04/02/2018 19:49

Definitely a specific icandy selling page on Facebook, the ladies on there are pram mad and are aware of what things are worth and will also advise you on pricing.

RaeCJ82 · 04/02/2018 19:50

@mummmy2017 how rude! Not everyone wants to buy secondhand. It definitely doesn't make them a mug! I spent ยฃ700 on my pram, including car seat etc and I love it. It will be used again if I'm lucky enough to have a second baby!

Well I guess the whole point of gumtree and eBay are that people want a bargain so arenโ€™t prepared to pay loads. Sorry not helpful.

What about giving it to someone who really needs it then at least you know it is going to a good home. We gave our snuzpod (barely used) to a charity called Little village which only collects good quality stuff then distributes it to people who have been referred to them. Your icandy could make someoneโ€™s day.

I bought our travel system brand new for ยฃ250 in the sale - reduced from ยฃ400. It came with base, pram top, push chair bit and a bag + a 4 year guarantee.

I wouldn't pay ยฃ400 for a second hand pram with no guarantee. Then again, I wouldn't pay ยฃ1100 for a new pram!

ZeroFuchsGiven · 04/02/2018 19:52

ยฃ1100 for a buggy? Is it gold lined or something? Confused

LambMadras · 04/02/2018 19:53

I sold my Icandy double for ยฃ250.

Made me feel quite sick frankly. ยฃ800 up in flames but I enjoyed it while I had it.
