Yes he's a violent idiot but bloody hell, 40years just seems a bit harsh for someone who.is probably more mad than bad.......when you consider a man who raped and murdered two children is being released and will serve less time than a man who's never really been given a chance it all sounds a bit ridiculous.

YABU - from what I gather, he has to be kept away from the rest of the prison population due to his violence towards other inmates/staff in the past.

He is a danger to other people.

Cornettoninja · 15/11/2017 13:49

I wondered about that the other day so had a look into it....

He needs to stop adding time to his sentence by trying to strangle his governors imho....

That being said I do think he is a product of his environment mostly.

LanaKanesLeftNippleTassle · 15/11/2017 13:50

You're not his new wife by any chance are you? Hmm

No he shouldn't be released, but neither should anyone else guilty of such violence.

I am the most lefty bleeding heart, but there are some people who are just too unstable to be out in society.

He has killed, threatened, abused and violently attacked many people.

And fuck knows what you that womaan was thinking of marrying him, unless it was just a sick grab at a last bit of fame.

WitchesHatRim · 15/11/2017 13:51

No I don't.

Paddington68 · 15/11/2017 13:51

Would you like him living on your street?

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/11/2017 13:53

YABVU. Fancy bumping into him in a dark alley one night?

ihatetosay · 15/11/2017 13:53

released no way - electric chair yes

LanaKanesLeftNippleTassle · 15/11/2017 13:53

And yeha....someone who keeps attacking staff and inmates in prison is clearly going to be perfectly behaved on the outside, right? Hmm

He of course is a product of his environment, but he has also deliberately cultivated his violent/insane/weirdo artiste persona, knowing full well that it would bring him further infamy, he doesn't care if he stays in, so long as his name is still synonymous with fame and violence.

HemanOrSheRa · 15/11/2017 13:54

You beat me to it Lana - is that you Paula?

LeNil · 15/11/2017 13:55

I used to know some prison guards who had him in their prison. He’s killed again in prison (if I remember correctly), and they said he was one of the worst prisoners they had ever seen. A complete psychopath and uncontrollable.

Humpsfor20yards · 15/11/2017 13:57

Unbelievable.

Theresamayscough · 15/11/2017 13:58

Don’t be so bloody silly

piglover · 15/11/2017 13:59

Charles Bronson died in 2003 so no chance of his release from Hades, I think. Manson?!

InsomniacAnonymous · 15/11/2017 13:59

"A complete psychopath and uncontrollable."

Exactly! What sane person would think he should be released?

InsomniacAnonymous · 15/11/2017 14:00

Not the actor piglover.

sinceyouask · 15/11/2017 14:00

Maybe when he's released he could move in next door to you, and you can be responsible for ensuring he doesn't assault, kidnap, kill, rob or threaten anyone?

I agree he is likely to be mentally ill. I think he should be in the MH system rather than prison, tbh, but I don't think he or others would be safe were he to be released.

SatansLittleHelper2 · 15/11/2017 14:01

I can hand on heart say I, Satans am not Bronsons wife. How ridiculous, i'm currently warming my hands off the steam coming kff the keyboards from all those searching my rather boring posting history. Hmm

I wasnt aware he'd killed anyone LeNil........nor am I a massive, expert on Charles Bronson. It just struck me as a little odd that a man who.most probably is a product of his environment and mad as a box lf frogs to boot hasnt ever been given a chance kf rehabilitation whilst a man who raped and murdered two children will soon be back on the streets Confused

Genuine question, why do you think “he’s never really been given a chance”?

As far as I can seen ever time he’s been released from prison he pretty much immediately commits or plans more violent crimes.

While in prison he has violently attacked other inmates (often with glass weapons) on multiple occasions, has attacked prison staff, and has attempted to murder several different people.

I honestly don’t see where the “hasn’t been given a chance” part comes in.

RedDogsBeg · 15/11/2017 14:02

Charles Bronson would have been released years ago IF he'd behaved himself and just done his time. He actively chose to behave the way he did/does and to cultivate the 'most dangerous prisoner in Britain' persona and he thoroughly enjoys it - he is now a 'somebody' rather than just a.n.other convict (and if released ex convict).

I've listened to Prison Officers who have had the dubious pleasure of dealing with him and no way on earth should he be released back into society.

ILoveMillhousesDad · 15/11/2017 14:04

Very silly OP.

Are you aware of what he has done inside?

Also, if you are referring to Ian Huntley in your OP, he might think he is getting out, but he isn't even eligible for parole. He is eligible to challenge his sentence in 3 years. I highly doubt he will walk free.

jellycat · 15/11/2017 14:05

Charles Bronson (the prisoner), now known as Charles Salvador, hasn’t killed anyone AFAIK, although he has committed many violent crimes. Are you confusing him with Charles Manson? Given his history I don’t think he should be released though.

BenLui · 15/11/2017 14:06

He may indeed be a product of his environment but nevertheless he is the product.

Society has to deal with the man he is now.

If he can’t control himself well enough in prison to not hurt other people what in earth do you think would happen if he was living next door to you in complete freedom?

TSSDNCOP · 15/11/2017 14:09

The Huntley comparison is meaningless too. Huntley drips shit like this every couple of months, last time he was trans remember, so we can't forget about him. There's a fella the Grim Reaper can't find soon enough IMHO.

escape · 15/11/2017 14:10

If you think for a second the MOJ contrive to keep people like him inside at a cost of hundreds of thousands of pounds a year because they ave nowhere else to spend it , then you are naive.

Prison staff are given nowhere near as much credit as they deserve.

SatansLittleHelper2 · 15/11/2017 14:11

TSS......i'm referring to Colin Pitchfork
