Yes he's a violent idiot but bloody hell, 40years just seems a bit harsh for someone who.is probably more mad than bad.......when you consider a man who raped and murdered two children is being released and will serve less time than a man who's never really been given a chance it all sounds a bit ridiculous.

Paula Wilcox?

Imjustme2017 · 17/11/2017 07:40

Not related or married, just a good friend.

Ceto · 17/11/2017 07:40

I think if he wanted to kill someone he could. But he hasn't. There's a reason for that

Nonsense. On one occasion he was only stopped at the point when his victim was at the death rattle; another time he failed only because the material he was using to hang someone broke.

He's in a maximum security prison. It really isn't that easy to kill someone on a whim in those conditions.

Imjustme2017 · 17/11/2017 07:41

Insomnibrat what the hell are you talking about? Pulling teeth a hobby! 😂😂😂 seriously 🙄

Imjustme2017 · 17/11/2017 07:43

Ceto if you had a paedophile in your face, telling you about the abuse they had subjected children to,would you honestly just let it go over your head? Charlie despises nonces! As do most normal people!

Imjustme2017 · 17/11/2017 07:48

Pisacake ah the old ‘threatening letter’ load of crap ha! But if it’s printed in the scum,it must be accurate! He’s not a gangster, never has been! 🙄 If you knew his sense of humour, some of the things printed over the years, would be recognised in the context they are intended! He has been vile, nasty, but that is not all he is! Only the bad stuff is portrayed in the media! Rarely does all the good he does, get a mention!

ImNotShpanishImEgyptshun · 17/11/2017 07:51

Technically Charles Manson never killed anybody either...

Msqueen33 · 17/11/2017 07:52

@Imjustme2017 I’d love to know then why he’s not been let out. It can’t be down completely to media judgement can it?! So how did you meet Charlie?

reachforthestarseveryday · 17/11/2017 07:55

Well. Take a look at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Salvador

Pity we don't have the death penalty. He has done NOTHING for society and has cost the taxpayer a huge amount.

Roussette · 17/11/2017 07:55

*I would happily have him live in my house! Until you actually know him,you are judging on what is orteayed in the media! Which,is mostly completely exaggerated and twisted to make him look like a psychopath! I know more dangerous men on the outside! I do not condone what he has done in the past, but that’s just it! The past!

Pisacake ah the old ‘threatening letter’ load of crap ha! But if it’s printed in the scum,it must be accurate! Paula love, I would've thought you would still be partying from your wedding this week to the lovely kind nice man who is Charles Salvador or whatever his name is. Course he's not dangerous, course he's not tried to kill many many times, course he hasn't caused immense trauma to many, course he's not violent Hmm.

OPEN YOUR EYES!

Well that's livened up my morning this thread is hysterical, ironic when its about a violent deeply scary criminal (or potentially an American act or ((or a dead American vdsc))).

Could the OP just confirm she'd be happy to live next door to him please?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/11/2017 08:05

Let's not romanticise over Tom Hardy on Netflix, eh?

EXACTLY!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/11/2017 08:07

illuminousopptomist

Please read at least PART of the thread before weighing in with your comments.

Thank you.

Imjustme2017 · 17/11/2017 08:07

Done nothing for society? He has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity! Good old wiki though eh? 🙄

Imjustme2017 · 17/11/2017 08:09

I’m not Paula Ffs she is not even in the country at the moment ha! I never once said he’s not been violent,so think you need to OPEN YOUR EYES!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/11/2017 08:10

He has NEVER killed anyone!

More by good luck than intention. He has certainly ruined a lot of lives.

Ceto · 17/11/2017 08:12

Imjustme, can you not see that there's a bit of a problem if, at the same time, you try to claim credit for the fact that he's not actually killed someone but, when it's pointed out that he's done his best to kill, claim that he was fully justified. Either he's not a killer or he's a killer who is justified, he can't be both at the the same time.

And, of course, you only have his word for it that he was provoked into doing it. Twice. This from a man with a history of very serious violence who just maybe had a reason to try to excuse and lie about what he had done. It's just a bit rich a man with his history claiming to be morally better than other prisoners. Was he provoked into taking people hostage, or attacking warders when his football team lost?

MorrisZapp · 17/11/2017 08:12

Despite following crime stories closely I had never heard of Colin Pitchfork. Apparently he was the first person in the UK convicted using DNA evidence. From his pattern of offending he almost certainly had other victims.

There was a tv drama made a few years ago called Code of a Killer, starring John Simm. Has anyone seen it? I wonder if it's on any streaming service as I'd like to watch it.

HerOtherHalf · 17/11/2017 08:14

Pity we don't have the death penalty. He has done NOTHING for society and has cost the taxpayer a huge amount.

The death penalty would almost certainly end up costing a lot more financially. Unless you want to throw all our social morals in the bucket and execute people on the back of a summary trial with little or no right to appeal.

There's something curiously ironic about people who voice an opinion that comes down to "I hate killers so much, I wish we could just kill them".

WitchesHatRim · 17/11/2017 08:14

Not related or married, just a good friend.

A good friend? Righto. How did you meet him then? Have you ever spoken to any of his victims?

so think you need to OPEN YOUR EYES!

No you do.

Grow up.

He has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity

So have I? So....

BakedBeans47 · 17/11/2017 08:14

Done nothing for society? He has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity!

So did Jimmy Savile

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/11/2017 08:15

Paula Wilcox?

A joke justme

Surely you have heard of "jokes"

Ceto · 17/11/2017 08:16

Only three years ago he was claiming that Ronnie Kray was appearing to him and egging him on when he was attacking 12 prison staff, and saying that he was happy to see good old Ron. And that's just what's reached the public. The parole authorities of course have more up to date information. I'd rather trust their judgment than that of the blatantly partisan I'mjustme, thanks.

Roussette · 17/11/2017 08:17

Imjustme I know Paula is on her honeymoon, so I knew it wasn't you. Grin Poor girl needs help.

However, it's good that a 'friend' of his can admit he is violent. Taking someone hostage because they didn't like one of his paintings? Pathetic. One thing I know (and you should to) he'll never be let out thank God. Whether that's down to media hype or his actions, I don't know and I don't care. The fact he is violent, by your own admission, is enough for me.
