They're doing it on purpose.
There can be no other reason.

AddALemon · 27/05/2017 08:59

Wtf is that Grin I went into m &s for some decent 3/4 length trousers and the absolute state of some of the clothes in there was awful!

Sawdustinmyhair · 27/05/2017 08:59

I think it would look okay on.

This is worse:

SaucyJack · 27/05/2017 09:01

Nah. That top isn't a patch on that pink nylon monstrosity.

nebulae · 27/05/2017 09:01

I quite like it, I'd wear that. What's so wrong with it?

chickpeaburger · 27/05/2017 09:01

I was in to return some towels yesterday and couldn't believe the sights. Made me Smile

MissBax · 27/05/2017 09:02

The top doesn't offend me. That pink dress however... 😷

chickpeaburger · 27/05/2017 09:02

Really Nebulae Shock

Northgate · 27/05/2017 09:03

That's......

interesting. Not in a good way.

But with these things, I'm often not sure if it's just that I'm out of touch with current fashions.

I have a top very similar to that.. thanks OP

WillowWeeping · 27/05/2017 09:05

Both the dress and top hideous.

Conversely I bought the most comfortable and prettiest bra a couple of weeks ago and now have five of them having binned a huge selection of mediocre bras.

LuxuryWoman2017 · 27/05/2017 09:05

That top - Holly Hobbit

KnockMeDown · 27/05/2017 09:05

It looks like they were looking to save money by using up the scraps left lying about. You can't blame them, given the latest figures Grin

Lucked · 27/05/2017 09:06

I almost posted about that top. It made me wonder if their reviews are genuine as so many were calling it lovely, the reviewer all seemed to be in an old erage bracket than me but still my not very stylish mum in her 70s would know that is hideous.

MachineBee · 27/05/2017 09:06

Totally agree about the pink dress being a monstrosity. It took me back to the early seventies and C&A the crimplene turquoise hot pants I was bought by my DGM when I was 10. Grin

Sawdustinmyhair · 27/05/2017 09:07

Oh man, I hadn't even seen that thread (it just came up when I was looking for new work things).

Normally M&S is about the only place I buy clothes, as I am short and dumpy, but I might have to start going to ... young people's shops.

Didiusfalco · 27/05/2017 09:08

I don't think that's actually that bad. I had a £5 off tops with my sparks card so looked through all of them - there's definitely worse out there.

Lucked · 27/05/2017 09:09

Actually if you go to m&s new in women's clothing it is awash with awful styles in terrible prints. I can't get over the prints they are pushing this year surely people aren't going to buy these clothes.

nebulae · 27/05/2017 09:10

Really Nebulae

Yep really. I'd wear it and not give a stuff if others didn't like it. The pink dress on the other hand...

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 27/05/2017 09:11

Should I burn the one that's similar? I didn't realise that people would be mentally ripping apart my fashion sense Confused

Didiusfalco · 27/05/2017 09:13

No Livia it really is totally fine - I wouldn't bat an eyelid at someone wearing that. (Disclaimer: I do own things from per una which I believe is a no-no)

SailAwaySailAwaySailAway · 27/05/2017 09:14

Fgs yes! Kill it with fire!

chickpeaburger · 27/05/2017 09:14

Livia - don't burn it but it would make a good duster.
