You shouldn't even put soap down there. I would not risk it.

As a shower gelling fanjo owner of 46 I would assume a bit of bonjela on the outside would be fine. .

I'd have thought hemmaroid cream etc would be better as they have actual numbing medication in whereas bonjella would sting like the fires of hell.

lanacaine is a local anaesthetic cream. Slap loads op
n and leave for an hour. then wipe off and lance away.

Hmm. See i used bonjela last week when i burned the roof of my mouth on some pork crackling which had just come out of the oven and it worked to numb the area so well! Better than i remember it doing as a kid.

I just thought - a little blob on the lump and i can ram the needle in harder work on it with less pain.

It would be absolutely fine, it's formulated for use on mucous membrane.

You need a hot compress. Clean flannel as hot as you can bear. I get them quite often. They really hurt to squeeze but once it's done the relief is instant.

I'm going to try the hot compress. The hemmaroid and the lanacane are good ideas but i don't have any in and i want to do it soon!

mama i had one about a year ago and managed to lance and squeeze it and you're right - the relief is instant. This one is further in and hurts a bit more.

I would do it, but I'm ruthless when it comes to spots, boils and ingrown hairs.

Please don't put pile cream on your fanny. I had a problem with pain down there as a teen and as a last resort the GP gave me pile cream to try. I was screaming in pain with it and washing off didn't help.

It sounds exactly like a bartholins cyst as mentioned by a pp. DO NOT SQUEEZE IT. Hot compress warms baths etc. It will go in a few days and until then it will hurt like fuck! squeezing makes u nearly faint and will make it angry! And last longer.

Hot bath. As hot as you can bear. Squeeze a bit. If it doesn't pop its not ready. By tomorrow it should be good to go.

Dear god. Utmost respect to the 2 posters who have done this. Just how?! I get these and I nearly passed out the first time I had a go. Gp said squeezing makes it worse and I had no desire to have another crack at it. And I'm tough as old boots.
