in order to numb this (small pea sized) lump enough to lance and squeeze the bugger!

Tried yesterday and it was so eye wateringly painful but i only got a bit of clear watery stuff out. There's obviously more to it.

I think it's a great idea! Bonjela's ok in the mouth so it'll be ok down there yes?

Handful of salt in the bath too, crystal/rock salt if you have it.

NotHotDogMum · 02/05/2017 15:05

I wouldn't think a blob of bonjela would do any harm.

Letsgetreadytorumbleagain · 02/05/2017 15:05

Hot (as hot as you can stand) flannel and it'll 'open' up without much squeezing - I get lots of these Blush

Good stuff OP.

I've now got a fanjo sporn thread and the next few episodes of Line of Duty to watch on Netflix tonight.
It's the most excitement I've had in agesGrin

Nousernameforme · 02/05/2017 15:10

I have no experience just here for moral support, not place marking, nope, no sir

terrylene · 02/05/2017 15:11

IME Anbesol is a MUCH better local anaesthetic than Bonjela...

Mine too Wink

ineedwine99 · 02/05/2017 15:11

Never heard of these but sounds bloody awful. Hope it disappears soon OP

ILookedintheWater · 02/05/2017 15:13

FFS! I'm all for a little self-surgery but using a COX inhibitor/anti-inflammatory (bonjela) will do nothing. Either hot compress and bear the agony discomfort or use the lanacane liberally, give it an hour to work (as if it were emla) before the hot compress: it is a local anaesthetic designed for vaginal tissue after all!

ILookedintheWater · 02/05/2017 15:15

shit, sorry OP: on typing that seemed advisory, on rereading it was very rude. Your Fanjo, Your choice, obviously.

Namechangearoo · 02/05/2017 15:16

Oocha, I'd try the bonjela too - might not help but I don't think it'll make it worse.

blatant placemark

yourcarisnotadiscovery · 02/05/2017 15:19

COX inhibitor - near your fanjo?!! is that wise...?

NewZ · 02/05/2017 15:21

I think 'Your Fanjo your choice' should be made into one of those facebook memes.

[not placemarking, no]

Beerwench · 02/05/2017 15:21

It sounds like a Bartholin(sp) cyst I had one that popped after hot baths and compress, but kept returning and I had to have a small op to sort it properly.
I tried everything and quite possibly introduced more infection by trying to lance it myself. Only hat bath and then compress worked at it popping.
I understand where you're coming from though it's really annoying and painful to live with mine grew to the size of a golf ball which is why I went for surgery!

rizlett · 02/05/2017 15:22

I thought the same as other posters here - bonjela - works fine in your mouth - mouth and foo foo tissue feels much the same - but NO - it burnt hotter than hell!

And washing if off didn't help much - never again - but I'd be interested in hearing of a brave soul who disproved my experience.

MrsTerryPratchett · 02/05/2017 15:23

Your Fanjo, Your choice, obviously. Is there anywhere else on the internet that has something as wonderful as this line? It's a quote for the ages.

Does it feel hard or squishy?

kali110 · 02/05/2017 15:24

Oragel much better, the extra strengeth one! ( for mouth ulcers so similar to bonjela but stronger)
If i get a cut i shove it on!
Works better than anbesol ( i injury mesrlf a lot Grin )
I really don't blame you, i'd do the same thing!

flapjackfairy · 02/05/2017 15:27

I once sprayed athletes foot spray as i had jock itch in creases at top of leg.
I missed and sprayed in wrong place.
I dont recommend it Grin

BillyButtfuck · 02/05/2017 15:28

I misread the title and spent ages trying to work out why you'd put bonjela on a banjo Grin

Fuck that though I have no advice.

lookatmenow · 02/05/2017 15:33

Gin....lots of Gin and then you wont even care what pain your in Grin

BestZebbie · 02/05/2017 15:34

Anbesol would be better, surely?

Loz90333 · 02/05/2017 15:36

Use Optilube (available on amazon), its medical lube used to help with the insertion of intermittent self catheters and it a numbing gel!

NotHotDogMum · 02/05/2017 15:57

I too shall be watching the bonjela fanjo thread for exciting updates Grin
