in order to numb this (small pea sized) lump enough to lance and squeeze the bugger!

Tried yesterday and it was so eye wateringly painful but i only got a bit of clear watery stuff out. There's obviously more to it.

I think it's a great idea! Bonjela's ok in the mouth so it'll be ok down there yes?

For some things DIY is not the way to go.

PopcornBits · 02/05/2017 18:48

gingeristhenewblack43 · 02/05/2017 18:53

I wondered why my grandmother always had a vics inhaler thingy in her pocket !! Grin

gojettersgo · 02/05/2017 18:55

Ice is an effective anaesthetic. Or maybe to soothe afterwards?

pestov · 02/05/2017 18:55

Ratbag that's amazing. Used to love more!, can't believe I was allowed to buy it at 12

NoChella · 02/05/2017 18:56

The natural source mint shower gel has caught me out too!!

PookieDo · 02/05/2017 19:00

NoChella - it was a MASSIVE handful of it, I don't know what he was hoping to achieve Angry

bananafish81 · 02/05/2017 19:01

Vagifem has a mild anaesthetic effect

EMLA cream very much more so

Obviously only for external use.

LakieLady · 02/05/2017 19:02

Rabag, I have to ask: when you added water to the alka-seltzer, did it froth up like when you drop one in a glass of water?

I was going to share the story of getting Deep Heat down my bum crack, but that pales into insignificance compared to alka-setzer or Vick up yer foo...

MilkTrayLimeBarrel · 02/05/2017 19:06

Oh gosh please don't try to lance it yourself in that area. I had an inflamed Bartholin's cyst some years ago - it was so painful, I couldn't walk straight! I made myself go to work but after about a week I gave in and saw the Doctor. Was given strong antibiotics and eventually the cyst burst and the inflammation cleared up. If you try to squeeze it and mess it about, it could make the infection worse. Please just see your Doctor and leave it alone!

Awaiting the freshly bathed op...

Laiste · 02/05/2017 19:13

The freshly bathed OP is assuming the position!

It's not easy. Got to balance the mag mirror.

I'm sorry to all those trying to advise against. I'm doing a dab of bonjela and see how if feels. Then a quick stab. And a quick squeeze.

Lakie - I don't recall to be honest. I was too busy crying that I'd fused my internal organs together 😂

SootSprite · 02/05/2017 19:22

Be brave 😳

picklemepopcorn · 02/05/2017 19:23

Rofl!

picklemepopcorn · 02/05/2017 19:25

The bonjell or the squeezing?

9GreenBottles · 02/05/2017 19:25

Have you been able to return to a sitting position OP or are you in the shower spraying yourself with cold water?

TroysMammy · 02/05/2017 19:25

I've used it on my eyebrows before plucking them but I wouldn't use it on my fanny.

Laiste · 02/05/2017 19:25

and yet now - it HAS gone numbish!
