Found my dream dress today...it's over my budget by £800 but I'm not sure if my budget was U to start with as I seemed underestimate how much they cost!
How much was your dress?

About 1k and then £200 of alterations.

PinkHeart59156816 · 01/04/2017 13:31

9k

MaidOfStars · 01/04/2017 13:31

£6k. Is a thing of beauty.

Rainbowshine · 01/04/2017 13:31

£250 from Monsoon, my DM made a couple of alterations for me. This is the cheaper end of the market though!

TartYvette · 01/04/2017 13:32

£195 (in 1998). Plus £25 of alterations. Shoes were £20 from Nine West and that was it! But my good friend who got married at the same time paid £1000 for her beautiful dress (which seemed expensive at the time)

Winegumaddict · 01/04/2017 13:32

About £550 for dress veil and bolero then £50 of alterations. I didn't have a budget and fell in love with a fairly cheap dress in the end.

I8toys · 01/04/2017 13:33

£300 20 years ago......

blueskyinmarch · 01/04/2017 13:33

£165. It was 32 years ago though!

coxsorangepippin · 01/04/2017 13:33

£200 (second hand, £1700 new)

CanIGoToBedNow · 01/04/2017 13:33

Not sure more than £3k less than £4K 😬

FlappyRose · 01/04/2017 13:33

£1,250 + £150 alterations. I'd wear it all the time if I could still fit into it.

Jaimx86 · 01/04/2017 13:33

£220 and I love it.

QuentinSummers · 01/04/2017 13:33

£250
I tried an £800 one on but seemed ridiculous to be paying £100 per hour to wear it Shock

vvviola · 01/04/2017 13:33

€400 plus about €100 of alterations. It was the sample dress from a previous season. Would have cost about €2000 otherwise, which was way above my budget.

ragz134 · 01/04/2017 13:33

£60 from next. Not officially a wedding dress.

Katedotness1963 · 01/04/2017 13:34

£60, including alterations.

maddening · 01/04/2017 13:34

200 new from eBay

FourEyesGood · 01/04/2017 13:35

£180 (not a wedding dress; it was blue)

haveacupoftea · 01/04/2017 13:35

I plan to spend about £250 but i prefer the look of non weddingy wedding dresses - bustles, ruches, sweetheart necklines, sparkles and trains are not for me.

DixieFlatline · 01/04/2017 13:35

£300 within the last couple of years. Then about another £100 on alterations, IIRC. Was lovely enough. Very glad I didn't spend more.

thethoughtfox · 01/04/2017 13:35

£2000 I have a comedy bosom and wanted a made to measure to fit

AppleMagic · 01/04/2017 13:36

About £750, it was the only bit of the wedding which came in under budget and was the first one I tried on.

roses2 · 01/04/2017 13:36

£140 made to measure from China. It fit perfectly and was gorgeous! The material and stitching was fantastic quality.

I sold it on eBay for £120 afterwards.

DonttouchthatLarry · 01/04/2017 13:37

£29.99 3 years ago - Monsoon short one off ebay (was new with tags and cost them £125).

CommonSenseIsNotAllThatCommon · 01/04/2017 13:38

Free, I borrowed mine from a friend.
