To think it's shit I feel pressurised to wear a bra?

Sitting watching telly, and I can feel the constriction of me wearing a bra. I have small boobs, why do I have to sit here wearing a bra? Why can't I go about my daily business bra free - without being judged!

Totally agree. I hate them.

dementedpixie · 03/12/2016 23:33

Who hasn't ever judged you? Or are you just imagining that they would?

PhilODox · 03/12/2016 23:33

Who sees? YABU to wear one if you don't wish to.

dementedpixie · 03/12/2016 23:34

Has*

CocktailQueen · 03/12/2016 23:34

Well, take it off!! I take mine off every evening...

ArgyMargy · 03/12/2016 23:34

The only one pressuring you is you. YABU.

DesolateWaist · 03/12/2016 23:34

If you are sat in your own house then why not take it off?

dementedpixie · 03/12/2016 23:34

I need mine or they would be down at my knees! (36GG)

Haggisfish · 03/12/2016 23:35

Yanbu. I have Tiny boobs too and would much rather go bra less. Only feel able to when wearing clothes you can't see this. Despite this, I always inwardly raise an eyebrow when I see an obviously bra less woman. Hate the fact I do this. Sigh.

Bambambini · 03/12/2016 23:35

Demented - you think I wouldn't be?

Look up PINK by Victoria's Secret. Their pull on bras are the most comfortable things ever. I don't even realise I'm wearing one.

Or ditch them!

Twoevils · 03/12/2016 23:36

Mine comes off the moment I get home. Sitting in your own house watching TV, get it off!
I wear one out and about because I'm fairly well endowed and it's uncomfortable without. But sat at home - no way!

DearMrDilkington · 03/12/2016 23:37

I have small boobs, I don't bother with bras this time of year. A scarf will hide any nipple coldness.Grin

acornsandnuts · 03/12/2016 23:37

I have big 'uns. I'm emotionally attached to my bras, without them feels weird. I wear one most of the time including bed. But they fit well and I really don't feel that I'm wearing one most of the time.

Without one I think my back would break.

Bambambini · 03/12/2016 23:38

Think that some are missing the point. Yes, I'm at home at the moment so can go bra less. But what about if out and about. At work, in a puc/ restraunt, wedding etc

i wear these After years of agony forcing myself to wear uncomfortable bras.

neonrainbow · 03/12/2016 23:40

Well who has judged you then? You must have examples of times you've been judged for not wearing a bra? Or else you wouldn't give a shit.

Bambambini · 03/12/2016 23:40

"pull on bras are the most comfortable things ever. I don't even realise I'm wearing one. "

Agian missing the point. I don't need a bra but feel pressurised into wearing one spending the extra dosh, enduring the extra discomfort.

Do folk not think about these things or just accept them?

RockStonePebble · 03/12/2016 23:41

I wear bras for work because they give me a better shape and I feel more professional. I go without at home mostly and wear braletts at the weekend. I've been out and about a lot today and no one who has encountered me today has recoiled in horror.

BertieBotts · 03/12/2016 23:42

I have small breasts and I don't wear one.

Bambambini · 03/12/2016 23:43

"must have examples of times you've been judged for not wearing a bra? Or else you wouldn't give a shit."

No, if I know it will be noticeable - I wear one - to conform. If I'm popping to the shop for milk with a coat on - I won't bother.

OP posts:
BertieBotts · 03/12/2016 23:43

But I do know what you mean... I do own three. I rarely wear them. I think you should try it.

someonestolemynick · 03/12/2016 23:45

Nobody's forcing you to wear a bra.
If you don't want to wear one, don't. That includes when at work or out and about.
What do you think will happen if you go against the imaginary bra consensus?

PS: If your bra feels uncomfortable, it probably is too small. Get your bra measures properly before you buy it. Or simply don't wear one.

Bambambini · 03/12/2016 23:45

Guess it's like the leg and armpit shaving thing. If folk will be able to notice - many of us will cave and conform. Society pressures and all that jazz.

I can honestly say I've never in my life noticed if a woman is wearing a bra or not. Even the nipple thing- many bras you can see erect nipples through. Who is judging you? When?
